AMA

I take a long hot shower, scolding myself for ever thinking I wanted this. He's going to be disappointed in every way. I am not athletic, not skinny and he already thought I was a slut. Awesome job Ama. You might as well give up now. I hear the door open and see two skinny, peppy blondes walk in. They haven't seen me yet and talk among themselves.

I turn the shower off and grab my towel to dry myself off. I catch a part of their conversation: "I'm so glad Noah could squeeze us in this morning. I miss his hands all over me."

The other girl says: "Girl, you had him in your bed and let him go. I totally don't get that. You don't let a man like that walk."

The skinny blonde says: "I know. I got bored with him, but I regret it now. I hope training with him will make him forgive me. I bought a really cute outfit for today. Look!" She holds up the tiniest shorts and top. I feel sick to my stomach, but at least I know Conan didn't lie to me. I quickly walk over to my bag and put my underwear on.

I feel their eyes on me and try not to show how uncomfortable I am. I put my stockings, pencil skirt, and blouse on and run my fingers through my hair. I quickly do my make-up in the small mirror in my bag and pull my pumps from the sports bag. I hold them in my hands, knowing very well that the floor of the gym can't handle heels.

I grab my phone and check my messages as I still feel the eyes of those bitches on me, who have now stopped talking. Yeah, I have to get out of here. I'm sure Noah would like to talk for a minute, but that's not happening. I am walking out of here right now. I get up, swing the bag over my shoulder, and walk out of the locker room.

Right before the door closes I hear one of them say: "They let everyone in these days. It used to be a place for pretty people. She should try a diet first before coming here to work out."  I'll admit it, that stings a little. I push the glass door open and step into the hall. I put my pumps on and wish the girl behind the reception desk a good day. She seems a bit surprised by that and wishes me a good day too.

I feel like I can finally breathe again when I open the door and step outside. I look up at the sky and suck a deep breath of fresh air in. A tall man in a suit comes rushing over and shoots me a friendly smile. "Morning beautiful! Thanks for holding the door for me." I smile back at him, feeling a bit better already. Sometimes that's all it takes, kindness from a stranger.

I make my way over to the office and think about my day when my phone rings. It's Mona. I pick up with: "Good morning bestie!"

"Morning girl! How was your first session with Noah?" I stay quiet because I hear her yell. "Don't you dare put that in your mouth Benedictus! Nanny will be very angry if you do that!"

I chuckle and she explains, "Damn kid was trying to eat a snail! A snail Ama! These kids are killing me a bit more every day!"

Well, my mood is lifted and I laugh as I walk through the revolving doors of the office building.

She asks me about my session with Noah again and I don't even know where to start. And I clearly don't have the time, because Ashley is already running up to me with panic written all over her face. "Sorry Moan. I can't right now, just walked into the office. Lunch with the little monsters later?"

"Yeah, girl. They would love to see you and so would I."

"Okay, I'll meet you at the mansion later. Bye for now. Love you!" I hang up and breathe out slowly, taking a few seconds to switch my brain to business mode.

I look at Ashley and she looks even more stressed than she did when I walked in. I nod at her and she starts to rant about my dad not being here and our Financial Manager being sick. We step into the elevator to go to the thirteenth floor, where my father's office is.

Apparently, the meeting room is filled with board members and investors. And our Financial Manager was supposed to talk them through our future investments and the dividend of our current ones. Fuck me. I hate talking about stuff like that. I can do it, I just don't like it. And these guys need someone to talk about it with flair and confidence.

I smile and dial the number of the perfect person to help me out with this. He picks up and I say: "Good morning X. How close are you to my office?"

"I'm driving by right now."

"Please come over here and save me. I need you to talk about investments, stocks and dividends like only you can." I hear him tell his driver to stop and hear a car door close.

"Walking up to the front door right now. Talk me through it." I smile and walk into my dad's office to grab the folder I need for this. I walk back out, talking X through the basics, and hear the elevator doors slide open. X comes running and takes the folder from me.

He skims over the numbers and says: "You can do better. Do I have your permission to wing this?"

I nod and he winks at me, before walking into the meeting room with an attitude only he has. He doesn't even apologize for being late, there's simply no need when you're as confident as he is. He grabs the attention of every guy in there and impresses them all with his know-how. I lean against the desk and agree whenever he needs me to, trying to hide the smile eager to break through.

He uses the whiteboard to explain the best packages to invest in, with steady companies as a base and some risky ones to make a bigger profit. His predictions have them all humming in agreement and he turns to me to close the meeting.

I stand up straight and look all those pretentious bastards in the face. They were against me working here and potentially taking my father's place in the future and look at them now.

"I hope you gentlemen are satisfied with the direction we are taking the company in and with the numbers presented to you. If not, you should have spoken up. Please leave this meeting room so I can talk to my Financial Advisor in private and get the ball rolling on our future plans for the company."

They all get up and come up to me to shake my hand. Now that's a first. They usually only see my dad and ignore me completely. All besides Mister Fredricks, he has always been on my side, even when my dad wasn't. He is the last one in line to shake my hand.

He whispers: "Excellent job Ama. Like a future CEO we can count on."

He shakes X's hand and walks out of the room, closing the door behind him.

That was Ama's POV.
X sure came through for her.

I wonder why her dad wasn't there though.

And I can't wait to share more about Mona's job and the kids she looks after.
Especially about Benedictus the snail-eater. XD

Mentioned Conan, you know the drill.
He belongs to STDsam  <3

See you when inspiration hits again.
