I wait outside of the school building for my little Fae to come out. I stare at the picture on my phone and smirk. That was fun. X was a bit shocked when I asked him to drop me off at my apartment, but my baby comes first. Always.

He got a message from Noah on the way there. And that made us both worried about Ama. I asked X for Noah's number and I texted him if someone else was going to pick up Nicky. He sent me a stressed message back that he forgot about his nephew. So I promised to take Nicky home with me and he or his sister could call me when they were ready to pick him up.

Fae comes skipping out, holding hands with Nicky. They look cute together. 

Fae pouts at me and says: "I want to play with Nicky some more mommy."

I smile, "Well guess what? Nicky is coming home with us because his uncle is really busy." 

The kids both cheer and I laugh at their happy faces. They walk in front of me through the park and over to our apartment. 

I open the door and Fae tells him where to put his shoes and hang his coat. They get settled on the couch talking about anything and everything. 

Fae asks me if they can watch a movie and she picks Moana, her favorite. They cuddle up and I make them popcorn and pour them some juice. They get lost in the movie and I pull my phone from my pocket.

I take a picture of the kids and send it to Noah. I tell him the kids are fine and ask him to send my love to Ama. I open my convo with X and smile at the picture, before sending him a message.

That was hot.
We should do that again soon.
Are you going to be at the club tonight?
If so, I'll dance just for you sexy.

Noah sends me a message telling me that his sister will pick Nicky up at around seven. 

I call Mrs. Antoine and I explain the situation to her. 

She says: "It's fine, girl. Take your time. You've always been good to me." 

I smile and watch the kids enjoy themselves on the couch.

I call the babysitter to let her know what I will leave for work a bit later today and join the kids on the couch. Nicky offers me some of his popcorn and smiles at me. He really looks like a mini Noah. Those genes run deep in that family. 

I hope Ama's okay. As far as I know, her dad was a bastard, but he still was her dad.

I sing along with the kids and when the movie is finished I ask them what they want to eat. Fae wants curly fries and nuggets and Nicky wants a cheeseburger. I order him some fries too, he seemed a bit shy about telling me what he would like. I order myself a salad and talk with the kids.

Nicky tells me about an upcoming baseball game this Saturday. He is so excited and invites Fae over to come to watch the game. Fae's face lights up and I don't have the heart to tell her no. There better be some hot dad's there for this mom to look at though.

The doorbell rings and I pay the delivery boy, before taking the food to the kids. They get all excited and I tell them to wash their hands. Fae shows Nicky the way and they wash their hands. They run back to the table and sit down. 

I give Fae her nuggets and curly fries and Nicky his cheeseburger and curly fries.

He stares at the fries and then I see what Fae sees in him. His little face lights up and a wide smile appears. He thanks me all excited for the fries and I ruffle through his hair. "You're welcome, boy. Let's eat." We enjoy our meal and Nicky enjoys every single fry to the fullest.
