NOAH

"Noah baby! Where are you going? We're ready for our session."

Fuck me. Fuck the universe. All I needed was a few more seconds to get to Ama. To make sure she's alright, to have a few more seconds of her to give me the strength to train the two barbies behind me. I turn around slowly and try to hide the scowl on my face.

I take the girls over to the bikes and Squeaky sits down on the bike Ama was on. She can't even get the pedals to move and I chuckle. She whines and asks me to change the settings. I do and then she starts to whine about the horrible music playing. I rub my temples, before tapping on the 'Annoying Bitches' playlist. There we go, stripper songs for the girls to workout on.

I'm already done with them. They try to flirt with me while pedaling on the bike. They don't even try to break a sweat. And I think Squeaky had her tits done again. They look bigger. But way too round. Like blown up balloons. Imagine grabbing a hold of those, they might pop if you're too forceful. I chuckle to myself and decide to take my frustration out on these two eyelash fluttering, lip pouting airheads.

Thirty minutes later I watch them stumble off to the locker room and chuckle. Brad, my co-worker walks up to me and says: "You were quite mean to them, bro. What happened? You used to fuck the big boobed one, right?" I don't even feel like discussing it with him, so I shrug and walk into the office to get something to drink. I lean against the desk and think about Ama again.

Should I text her? But what the hell am I going to say? I have no clue if she hates me now. I might fuck things up if I tell her that I was impressed by her. Which I truly was. She has a natural drive to push herself, it's beautiful to witness. I decide to text X and tell him what happened. I could text Conan, but I'm sure he'll make fun of me and that's something that will only feed my annoyance.

X texts me back that he will talk to her today to find out what's going on. I thank him but still feel crappy. I better get my head in the game, because I'm supposed to lead a spinning class in 5 minutes. I finish my drink and open the door to the room with all the spinning bikes. The first girls are already walking in and claiming their bikes. I get some upbeat music playing and greet some of the people coming in.

I scan the room and see everyone's here. "Welcome everyone! Are you ready for the sweat and tears?" The entire room groans and I chuckle. I get on my bike in the front and start with the warm-up. Some of them are still talking and I grin, because I know that is not going to last. I give it my all and soon all I hear are moans and heavy breathing.

We end the class with some slow pedaling and I jump off the bike. One of my favorite clients pulls my shirt and asks between heavy breaths: "You don't even have a drop of sweat on you Noah! How is that even possible when I am dying here."

I laugh and put her towel around her shoulders. "Oh Betty, I can do this all day without breaking a sweat. I'm that good!"

We laugh and I walk her out. She's the best. Always in a good mood and comes in for every spinning class, never skips a single one. "Have a good day Betty, I'll see you on Thursday!"

I turn around and Mary calls me over to the reception desk. "Noah? Your new client from this morning..." She looks down and avoids my gaze. I wonder why she seems nervous.

"Yes? What about my new client?"

"Erm, well I like her. But she looked like she was about to cry when she walked out. And she was in the locker room with dumb and blonder."

I chuckle at the nickname and then I get even more worried than I already was. I hate it when stuff goes on in that locker room and believe me, a lot of shit goes on in the ladies' locker room. I can't even count the times a girl ran out of there crying. And I never find out what happened. It's not like I can walk in there and see what's going on.

I thank Mary for telling me and walk back into the gym to wait for my next client.

The rest of the day is pretty uneventful and I clean things up with Brad before the evening crew comes in. We step into the office to get our personal stuff once we're done. Brad looks me over and asks: "Why did you punish the two blondes earlier today?"

I scowl and say: "Because they were annoying me and if Mary was right, they even deserved it."

Brad says: "Alright, I'll drop it. I can tell you're still pissed off. What about the new client? I heard the guys talk about her this morning. Badass with sexy curves?"

I snap my head up and say: "She's off-limits!"

"Noah, you know you can't start anything with a client. But I'd happily take her off your hands after what I've heard about her."

He holds his hands up and takes a step back, knowing he pushed all the right buttons to get me even more pissed. I sigh and say: "Just drop it, Brad. I'm worried about her. She walked out with tears in her eyes after she ran into the two blondes in the locker room."

Brad moans and adds: "And you like her. Way more than you want people to know." He quickly walks out, laughing, and yells: "See you tomorrow man."

I lean against the desk and rub my chin. I have to admit that I am kinda lost here. I really hope X can get her to talk and more than anything I hope she shows up tomorrow. She made my morning.

I would love to start every day with her. In more ways than one. I daydream a little and then grab my stuff and walk out of the office. I greet the receptionist who works nights and shake hands with one of my coworkers walking in.

I step outside and take a deep breath. I debate whether I should go shopping and cook myself or just grab a pizza. Pizza it is. I don't feel like cooking at all. I walk over to the pizza place with my mind on Ama. So when I walk through the door and see her sitting there, I'm convinced it's my brain playing tricks on me. She's not really here, I just want her to be.

I am about to order a pizza when I hear X's voice: "Noah? Are you seriously ignoring us? Come on over and eat with us."

I turn around and I can read Ama's eyes from across the room. She didn't agree on that with X. I smile and walk over to them.

Might as well jump in headfirst.
