Chapter 78: Payback

"You look thin. It seems like you lost weight." Dark said while playing with my hair.

We're on my bed right now. Nakahilig siya sa headboard ng maliit kong kama. My head is on his chest. This kind of position gives me warmth. Ang simple ng posisyon na 'to pero ang sarap sa pakiramdam.

"Talaga?" Sagot ko sa sinabi niya.

"Yeah. Ang payat-payat mo na nga, mas pumayat ka pa."

"Grabe ka naman, hindi naman ako kapayatan talaga!" Giit ko. Tamang-tama lang kaya yung katawan ko!

"Tss,"

"Kasalanan mo 'to," I whispered jokingly.

"If you didn't leave me like that, you wouldn't be this thin."

It turns out he heard my whisper. "Oo na, kasalanan ko na. Alam ko na 'yan."

He chuckled at my response. "I should cook you something delicious para magkalaman ka naman."

A memory came rushing in my mind by the time I heard the word 'delicious'.

"It's delicious, Zaya... very delicious. The most delicious cake I have ever tasted in my entire life."

I can't help but smile. Napakagat pa ako ng labi, nagpipigil ng ngiti. I have an idea.

Napansin naman ni Dark yung ngiti ko. "What are you thinking?"

"I just remembered the time you tasted my cake. You said it's delicious."

He smiled. "Yeah, it really was."

"I have an idea. How about I cook some cake? It's been a while since I did that... or pwede ring cupcakes!"

Humalakhak siya dahil sa pagkakasabik ko. He pinched my nose. "You're so cute,"

"Are you going to support me or not?" Pabiro ko siyang sinamaan ng tingin.

"Of course I will," He said, now caressing my head.

I feel like there's butterflies on my stomach because of excitement. There's a lot of ideas in my mind right now on what to make tomorrow.

Reena crossed my mind. "Dark, sigurado ka ba sa gagawin mo? Kay Reena?"

"She should stop this selfishness. I'm so angry at her but I'm just holding back."

I sighed. I thought of the possible scenarios that might happen. I'm sure she'll cry again and get mad at me.

"It's kind of unbelievable, you know? After what she did, nakuha mo pa ring mag-alala para sa kanya."

I gave him a small smile.

"As far as I can remember, back then, you acted like a war freak. Remember what happened in the drink station? There were two people making out and you were so irritated that you shouted at their faces to go get a room." He said with a chuckle.

Napatawa na lang ako. I vividly remember the girl was about to slap me because I called her boyfriend an asshole but Dark arrived and stopped her. Takot na takot yung magkasintahan sa kanya dahil nga siya ang presidente.

I also remember what happened after the scene. That was also the day he told me to call him MK.
