Did he make a right decision? Was it good to give in to the prompting? What prompting if HoSeok asked only once to meet him.
SeokJin sighs quietly, looking at his fading bruises. Tomorrow, if he work hard enough, he'll be able to hide everything. Every mark, like ha always does. No one will see anything, never.
What did he even think? He should've ignore the message and just end what he started, but now? Now he feels pangs of conscience when he just thinks of not appearing by Namsan next day. Sometimes he has enough of being all respectable and moral. He changed his mind so many times, changed decisions that could've made his life better. How many times he planned to escape? How many times he stood in bathroom, looking with empty eyes at his reflection? He lost count.
The amount of inner fights he had, since his young mind started to understand what's happening in his life, as the time passed more and more, and finally he doesn't know if the next fight will be a hundreds or millions. But the one he just has, seems to be the hardest one.
On one side, HoSeok seems to be worth trusting, a person who would be someone who'll support him, comfort him, give him warmness and closeness, that's how Jung makes people around him feel. But on the other side, a part of Jin thinks opposite, that Kim doesn't deserve such luxury, after what happened to him, that it is the proof of how worthless he is, and that's why he thinks the meeting is pointless.
He feels like a situation from before few years will repeat, at that time someone too wanted to befriend him. Or so it seemed for the naive boy who like a moth flies towards the light, he leaned to any person who was nice to him. And how did it end? 'The friend' told every single person at school about his secrets, and that ended almost terrible, when the young Kim was on a verge of giving up.
Later, he didn't know ho he survived. Maybe because of summer break when he didn't have to show up at school? Maybe because he cut himself of of social media, where his bullies were the most active? Or maybe when his oh so called family traveled happily together and they left him in the mansion with an older maid, who was the only person able to reach him?
Oh, how painful was her death few years ago. Because of her he had given life another chance.
SeokJin is so lost. Is HoSeok going to appear like that false friend or like his lovely granny? He doesn't know that, but he's ready to go with his head high, still careful though, as much as he can, and if he'll feel even a bit alerted he's going to stop contacting him.
He won't let anyone hurt him if he only can avoid it. He gives life one more chance, but it the last one. When someone hurts him again, in that way, well not counting his father, knowing that as long as he lives with him it's all he'll get from him, but beside him, if someone hurt SeokJin, he won't hesitate anymore, he won't let anything disturb him and he'll end it.
Third time is a charm, as people say. Two tries behind him, during a potential third one he's planning to be completely successful.
