More than a year had passed since the group last seen SeokJin.
The academic year was already over and the second one was starting soon. Around the campus, there were a lot of freshmen that just finished high school. Newcomers from around Seoul and from out of it mixed in a huge crowd, not paying attention to other people. They passed each other, not knowing their names, histories, dreams, they were strangers and no one more.
Well, why would anyone get interested in some random person that they bumped in at the narrow corridor?
But there was one person who often looked around the crow, trying to find a familiar face there. Unavailingly.
Sometimes HoSeok felt, that somewhere there, between all those people, there was SeokJin, but every try in fiding was a failure. There was no SeokJin, even if he searched carefully. For all those months he didn't forget about the sad boy, that was his friend he was forced to leave. He just hoped they would get a chance to meet.
His friends, the remaining five, also hoped for the same. They wanted to make it up to SeokJin for all those previous years and months when they didn't give him a chance that Jung did. They wanted to show him their honest changes in the way they viewed the world, that they learned their lesson and don't judge people based on appearances. It could always be misleading and they didn't want to make the same mistake again.
However, they were slowly losing hope for a reunion. They hadn't said a word to Jung, as he was sure it would happen, sooner or later, but they slowly stopped believing it. They just didn't want to get their hopes high. They knew about the situation at the boy's home and they feared the worst.
They didn't want to hope, as they thought it would be better to feel happy and surprised if they get any information about SeokJin. It was better to be surprised than disappointed when your expectation wouldn't come true, that was how they saw it.
But they didn't know that with every passing day they were closer to answers to every question about SeokJin's fate.
Actually, they were already very, very close.
