Trigger warning
He didnt know how much time had passed since he was there. Not like he cared, he couldn't do anything about it.
Gathering all his remining strenght, he moved to the wall, feeling sharp pain in his ankle, which made him well aware that something ugly happened with it. And against, there was nothing he could do. Only wait for the pain to weaken.
So he laid there, on the cold concrete, shivering due the chill that filled him, looking in the matt darkness with empty eyes.
The room seemed not be cleaned since the last time he was closed there. The basement smelled with body fluids, that he hadn't any choice other than excrete there, when he was there for two weeks, without any access to the bathroom. Not when smell made him want to vomit, the odor strong enough to made his eyes water. The room had no window nor ventilation. It wasnt even an actual basement, just small cubby, 4 square meters that was prepared only for him, and where he was closed for the first time as four years old child.
That place didn't bring any pleasant memories, only darkness, coldness and overhelming loneliness.
In moments like that, the world seemed like something unreal, his mind played with him, sometimes he thought that some weird mirage decided to keep him company. Hungry, thirsty, tired and cold, he was closing his mind as if it was a box, that could protect him from cold, evil world, that it could help him not co crazy during the time in his isolation.
Finally, his father opening his door seemed to be his savior. This whole time the boy hadn't slept and now he was able to see the light again.
He didn't care for the torment his body was going to go through. Like the wanderer on the dessert that stumbled on the oasis, he climbed on his four up the stairs, afraid that once againt the precious light would be taken away from him, the light that was giving him hope. He didn't care for anything else. The most important was to him to go out of that abbys of mental agony.
In his father eyes he looked like a slithery worm, crawling from his hole to his doom.
"Pathetic." He spit on his son's head, but the boy didnt care for thee insulr or the disgusting fluid on his hair.
The light, that he so dearly hold on was in his life again. He didnt care what would happen to him, as long as the light was in his life. And a glimpse of hope with it.
