Saya terbangun to the loud vibration of Jordan's handphone under his pillow. Kepala saya atas lengan Jordan and his handphone vibration really distracted my sleep. I reached out to my own handphone. Saya tengok jam di handphone saya. Ugh, 7am. The sun is rising. I slide the screen of my handphone and opened whatsapp. Ada whatsapp dari Holland.

Holland: Belle, I told dad you tidur rumah Chester

Holland: Pandai-pandailah you answer dad's questions nanti

Me: Thanks, bang. I'll be home later

Baru saya mahu continue tidur, Jordan's handphone yang sudah stop vibrate a minute ago, start to vibrate lagi balik. I kissed dagu Jordan and woke him up.

"Bae." Saya bisik. "Bae."

"Mmm?" Jordan buka mata perlahan-lahan and he smiled. "Beautiful."

"Your phone balik-balik vibrate." Saya bilang. "It might be a call."

"Mmmmm." Jordan stretched. "I want us to be just like this."

"Look at your phone first, bae." Saya pujuk Jordan.

Jordan mencapai handphone dia di bawah bantal. He looked at his handphone screen, berkerut dahi dia. Macam there's a little mixed of emotions there, hairan but a little happy? He slid to answer the call. I don't think I heard Jordan said hello. No hellos? I can't hear the voice on the other line. Jordan only said two words, 'WHAT' and 'NO'

"Sweetheart." Jordan sapa saya after ending the call.

"Mmm?" Saja saya jawab.

"We need to go." Sayu muka Jordan.

"Okay." Pantas saya bangun and get dressed.

Am I that stupid? Tiadapun saya tanya who called, why did that person called? What is happening? Saya only assumed that it was the hospital and dorang called Jordan for an emergency surgery.

"Sweetheart." Jordan menatap muka saya dengan mata dia yang sayu.

"Bae, you're making me scared." Nervous saya, mahu bergegar saya rasa.

"I love you. Always remember that I love you so, so, so much." Menitis air mata Jordan.

"I love you too." Saya balas, air mata saya pun menitis.

"I love you, Bella." Jordan kissed me long and hard. "Promise me."

"I promise." Walaupun saya blur-blur seketika. Apa yang dia mahu saya janji dia ni?

"Wait for me." Jordan bilang. Macam jatuh jantung saya.

"I'll wait for you, bae. Until the world ends." Saya ketawa kecil sambil saya joking lagi untuk kasi senang hati saya yang semakin gementar.

"Promise?" Jordan hugged me tight.

"Promise." Saya senyum, tapi dalam hati hanya Tuhan saja yang tahu perasaan saya yang sangat takut that something is going to happen.

One week, became two weeks, and two weeks became three weeks. I never heard from Jordan after 'The promise'. Saya whatsapp Jordan, minggu pertama my chats went through. Masuk minggu kedua, satu tick saja. I whatsapp him everyday. I called him unanswered.
