At exactly seven, I heard a knock on my room door and I immediately freaked out inside. I'm not ready, I'm only in underwear and there is clothes laying everywhere.
He never told me what we were doing or where we were going, so I did not know what to wear.
For example, I do not want to wear a dress when we're going to the movie theatre or doing something fun, like paintballing or laser tag and I do not want to wear sweats to a fancy restaurant.
I opened the door in my underwear and immediately Mason eyes dropped to my body, making me feel self conscious.
"Stop that." I said walking inside, leaving the door open for him. He was dressed up. He wore black suit trousers and a white shirt that was tucked into his pants but it was not buttoned completely, exposing his chest.
"Shit, sorry. I-err-I brought you flowers." He said holding a bouquet of roses that I did not notice before.
Aw, that is so cute. I have such a weakness for guys buying girls flowers, it's such a minimalist gesture that means so much.
I ran and jumped on him, with him catching me in a hug but to my surprise he groaned. Groaned. Let me say that again for the people at the back, he groaned.
"Could you please get dressed? You are making it really hard to be a good guy, right now."
"Sorry."
I grabbed closest thing to me. It was a body fitted black dress, mid thigh length and I decided just to wear it, I paired it with cute black heels.
I almost never wear heels but it fit this dress perfectly.
We left and he just drove. Whenever I asked where we were going he just said that it was a surprise. We pulled up to the beach and he offered to carry my shoes while we walked in the sand.
Aw, look at Mason being a gentleman.
We walked along the beach and I could faintly see lights further down but only when we got closer, I saw that on the sand was a blanket with candles around it and a picnic basket with a few pillows.
Oh my word, this was a picnic on the beach, under the stars. This was my dream date. I slowly started freaking out inside as I realized that Mason planned my dream date. My dream date that I told him about when I was nine years old and he remembered.
I looked over at him, shocked and he just smiled.
Damn, why did it have to be Mason? I immediately got sad. None of this was real, it was all just a game but he was being so cute. I was completely wasting my dream date on a guy that does not like me.
"Did I do something wrong?"
"No. No." My face probably showed it all. "No, I'm just taking everything in." I lied.
We sat down and he took out chocolate covered strawberries, shrimp and fries. Oh wow, my nine year old self would be so impressed right now and to my surprise, he handed me a chocolate milkshake from this store that was around the corner from my house.
No ways, this guy did every single thing that I said ten years ago, this is insane.
"So, is this the perfect date?" He asked smirking at me, already knowing the answer but I just smiled looking at everything.
"Can I kiss you?" He asked staring at me expressionless.
"Are you going to growl at me again." I asked teasing him.
He just smirked, bitting the corner of his lip.
"Only if you want me to."
If I am going to make him fall in love with me. I am going to have to allow him to do things and I'm going to have to do things as well, play a little dirty.
"Kiss me."
He moved closer, placing a hand on my cheek as his lips slowly touched mine. He deepened his kiss, with his tongue dancing around with mine. He gripped my waist and moved me on top of him as he laid down.
Damn you, Mason. This guy knew exactly how to kiss and what to do. His kiss was breathtaking and I could not want to pull away. His hands moved up my dress, gripping my ass but I did not mind his touch, why did I not mind his touch?
I was not falling for him. I was not going to fall for Mason McConner. No, I was not going to fall for Mason McConner. I was not going to fall for Mason McConner. I did not like him and I was not going to like him.
No, nope, maybe. Maybe just a little.
I pulled away from his kiss and continued kissing his neck as I played with his hair with one hand. I gently bite his neck causing a slight moan from him as he gripped me harder.
Was Mason McConner moaning? Did I have this much control over him? Was he falling for me as well? I mean, not as well because I was not falling for him. pssh. No.
My lips returned to his and I pulled his shirt out from his pants, moving my hand under his shirt touching his abs while my returned to the cusp of his neck, as I made my way back to kissing his neck. The more I kissed and bite his neck while grinding on him, the loader he moaned and the harder he got.
"Stop. Stop, stop, stop. Oh Lord. Rosen, stop. please stop." He said breathing heavily, laying flat on the blanket with his eyes closed.
I pulled away, moving off him. He immediately jumped up in a hurry and walked off towards the water "I-I'll ... I'll be right back, just... just, just wait there." He said pointing at me as he walked off.
I touched the sides of my lips, still feeling his touch against them. What was happening, here? Was I falling for my childhood best friend and low key crush? No, I cannot be falling for Mason, anyone else but not Mason, not Mason McConner.
Maybe this bet is a bad idea. Why am I overthinking? Oh my err. Stop! Stop it Kelly, you're better than this.
It did not even start yet and I already find myself here, contemplating life.
I started eating the food in front of me. Yes, I was stress eating. This food was amazing, Mason was amazing, his lips were amazing. No! Stop, stop it! I internally screamed at myself.
Mason still stood at the water. I wondered what he was doing.
After a while Mason returned and sat down next to me.
"Sorry, I-I... I just, uhm, I just had to, uhm, go... for a... walk." Mason stuttered.
Was he nervous? I have never seen him nervous before. Wow, hold up. Do I make him nervous?
"It's fine. I kind of started eating without you."
"That's okay." He said leaning down on his elbow with his body stretched out. He took a strawberry and feed it to me. I took a bite and he took one after me.
What in the romantic movie was he doing but it was cute, so I did the same with a shrimp and he just smiled.
"I brought you here to ask you out but now it feels more like a proposal setting."
"Mason, if you dare pr-"
"-Do you want me to go down on one knee?"
"Mason."
"I mean, I could go down on both."
"Mason!" I said and he kept quiet.
He laid down on his back, with his arms resting underneath his head, staring at the stars.
"Kelly Rosen." He said getting my attention as he lifted himself up into his elbows "Will you be my girlfriend?"
"Yes." I said kissing him.
