We pulled up in the driveway of Mason's dad house. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous.
The last time I saw his dad was thanksgiving, when he hit Mason with a baseball bat. I was not just nervous, I was extremely nervous.
We walked in, with Mason in front off me and fairly hiding me. The family sat in the open plan living room/kitchen area.
While I was hidden from Kira, Mason walked up to her and pulled her into a bear hug.
"Oh, what a beautiful birthday girl. I'm going to have to start fighting off some boys soon." He said letting her go "Also, I have a present for you and I think you're going to love." He said and I stepped out.
She immediately freaked out, hopping off her seat and then frozen, her eyes dancing between Mason and I "Happy birthday, Kira." I said and she had the biggest smile on her face.
She continued freaking out in shock, not knowing what to do or how to move "Can I-I hug you?" She managed to say and I stepped closer to her with my arms open, before she hugged me.
She stepped back and ran over to Mason, hugging him "Thank you so much. I love you, Mason." She said with her head buried in his lower chest and I think she was crying.
Mason flinched at her words for a second and then pulled her deeper into his hug "Love you too."
She let go of him and he pulled me closer "You already know Kira and Father dearest, so this is Step-mother Rosa, that is teenager Kyle, munchkin Kelly and gremlin Chad is somewhere, that's the fam and fam meet Kelly Rosen." Mason said introducing his step-family and I to each other.
"How come he gets to bring a girlfriend over?" Kyle complained from the couch. He looked like a younger version of Mason, almost exactly alike which was creepy since they are only half brothers.
"He's not failing chemistry nor is he grounded for crashing my car, so if I was you I'd stop complaining." Rosa said.
"She's not my girlfriend, we're just friends." Mason explained.
Kyle got up and walked over to Mason as he spoke. "Yeah, of course. If only the Internet wasn't full of Kelly's relationships drama, which surprise surprise includes you. So she might be your friend, but she's not your friend." He said emphasizing the last 'friend'.
"Okay then." I said.

Kira had a studio like set up in the corner of her room. It was light outside but she set up the photoshoot to be dimly lit with natural light and having a light also on low setting on me.
The photos that were taken there was your modeling photos that you see but once we got outside, that's when it turned fun. We drove to random places in town to shoot and I was on pointe in my leotard and Kira's ballet skirt she wore for swan lake. We were definitely copying Jordan Matter's photoshoots.
We stopped in front of a graffiti wall that had two telephones that were spaced apart, space far apart. Kira smiled at me and I looked nervously at her, probably thinking the same thing.
"Can you oversplit?" She asked.
"Yes?"
"Do you think that your legs are long enough for that distance?" She asked and we were thinking the same thing. An oversplit on top/ between the two telephones. I just looked at her and smiled, I might just die today.
Mason lifted me up between the two, not sure how to get up there. I had my hands against one and my foot on the other with Mason standing close, in case I fell.
"Hold me quickly." I said and Mason moved closer, holding my waist as I shifted into my split. As soon as Mason removes his arms I'm dropping into an oversplit and I don't know if I'll be able to hold it.
"Okay." I said and Mason removes his hand slowly, while gravity slowly pulled me down and I flexed every muscle in my legs to keep me from falling.
Mason walked over and handed me the telephone, which made a cool Jordan Matter photo. Next, Kira had me doing turns, jumps and flips in the street or off things.
We returned back to the house where Kira was having an party and we decided to stay for a while.
"Kelly, Can I speak to you for a second?" Aunty Rosa asked.
"Sure." I said and Mason left.
We walked over to the living room, sitting on a couch, next to each other.
"I hope I'm not overstepping and coming across as rude but Mason is like a son to me, so I think I'm entitled to question you." She said and I immediately felt nervous.
It's one of those talks.
"I've seen and heard a lot of things about you and that famous dancer but then Mason's introducing you to us, which he never does. Not once has Mason over introduced a girl to us, so that makes me think that the two of you are dating but then he says that we're are friends. What's happening?" She continued.
"Most of the articles aren't true. Brandon and I aren't dating but we aren't friends either..." I said unsure as I thought about it "We-... I don't know what we are but we kind of together and Mason and I recently broke up, which was an extremely bad break up and he asked me for a second chance. Right now, we just talking and working through what happened."
"So what happens if you and Mason end up dating again, what happens to Brandon?"
"Brandon and I aren't anything serious."
"To you but what about to him?"
"To both of us. It started as a one time thing after Mason and I broke up but the one turned into a two."
"Oh, it's that kind of... friendship. I know the kind of things that Mason does, so I know his not innocent but you have two guys. Two guys who I think really likes you and at the end of the day you're either going to lose both or hurt one and I'd suggest that you rather do it now before it's anything serious. You're young, beautiful and talented , you are constantly going to have guys who want you and by all means have fun but don't dig a hole that you can't climb out of."
