Chapter 76

The greenhouse serves as our safehaven after what happened last night. We spent the day in here and Enkidu was the one who brought our breakfast and lunch for us. It's a good thing the King Lancer was not planning to starve us to death.

Codee is busy with her laptop again while I was busy feeding Nergal and Enkidu was on guard for us. It was also him who looked for a laptop that Codee could use to contact the EL Ordre.

Using a laptop is really dangerous. I remember when I was at the EL Ordre's hideout and I contacted Enkidu and Yucca to get an update about King Lancer, L was notified by the signal. And I'm sure that King Lancer, being a professional hacker, will be notified by the radio waves as well.

"I will send them an SOS message, Ate." Codee said. "Hindi ko na lang sila kakausapin kasi mas delikado." she looked at me. "Kailan natin planong umalis dito?"

"Tonight." I said.

King Lancer said that Codee was the sign that he's been waiting for. He lured Codee in here para wala nang tracker ang EL Ordre and they wouldn't get notified if ever they plan to attack their hideout. Walang magiging mata ang EL Ordre ngayon. So we must escape in here bago pa mahuli ang lahat.

"But they have a security in the hideout." Codee said when I explained to her why we need to move fast.

"Don't underestimate King Lancer. He's the one who's been in charge for the security of EL Ordre before. Plus he's a hacker. Madali lang sa kanyang gibain ang security nila."

Codee nodded like she understands my reason.

"We must escape to lessen the damage." I continued. "We should'nt engage them in a fight. Especially now that the EL Ordre isn't on full strength."

"What about Gray, Ate?"

I looked at Codee. She's asking about my plan on how I will bring King Lancer back to being Gray now that we're planning to escape.

"Just leave it to me."

King Lancer invited me over the dinner. Pinagbawalan nyang kumuha ng pagkain si Enkidu para sa amin if I wouldn't join him for dinner. It's okay if I'm the only one who will starve for the night. I know that Enkidu could take not having anything for dinner but I have Codee and Nergal to worry about. And Codee was still afraid at my pet saying na baka sya daw ang gawing hapunan if Nergal got hungry.

I have no choice but to accept King Lancer's invitation.

I asked Enkidu to guard Codee at the greenhouse when he insisted staying with me. Wala naman syang ibang gagawin kundi ang tumayo doon just like Yucca as we watching King Lancer and I while eat our food. So it's better for him to eat with Codee and Nergal at the greenhouse.

Plus, I'm afraid that Codee is freaking out now that she's alone with Nergal.

"How are you, my Queen?" King Lancer asked after a while of eating in silence.

I gulped the food in my mouth and sipped on my wine. I did it so elegantly like nobody was waiting for my answer to their question. King Lancer waited patiently for me though. I smiled at him sweetly.

"Still can't get over the fact that you ordered me to kneel in front of you."

He chuckled at my sarcasm. "I was just kidding. Of course... I wouldn't want my Queen to kneel in front of anyone even to me, would I?"

I flashed him my sweetest smile to let him know that I agree with him. I cut the meat with the knife, still with a smile on my face.

"That's good." I picked up the small piece of meat with my fork and pointed him using the fork with meat on it. "Remember that you're in that seat because of me."
