As soon as you spotted an empty space under a tree, you ran there like your life depended on it and dropped your bag to the floor, happy that there was enough shade for three to four people, so that you could actually relax.
You sat cross legged on the floor, unzipping your bag and pulling your cell phone out, wanting to tell your dad that you'd already made a few friends, but your thoughts were short lived when a pair of feet stood in front of you.
You knew it was a boy because they were wearing the school slacks, but those were not Neito's shoes
'Wait, what? How do i- no, why do I know what kind of shoes he wears?! I don't even like him as a friend' your train of thought was interrupted by the sound of someone clearing their throat.
You looked up, locking eyes with a handsome boy that looked very laid back, you asked "is there something I can help you with?" "You're actually in my special spot, [y/l/n]-San, but-" "just [y/n] is fine" you stated, cringing at how you sounded like a broken record.
"Well, you're in my spot, [y/n]" the boy said, making you quickly get up, taking a step back to avoid getting too close. You replied "of course, I'll leave-" you were stopped by a hand grabbing your wrist.
The blank-faced boy raised an eyebrow "I wasn't asking you to leave, I was just telling you to make some space. I'm sure you don't want to stay in that noisy confined space they call a class with those...............with our classmates" you saw him visibly shudder when he said classmates.
Your lips lifted at the corners, unable to stop yourself you asked "can we be friends?" The boy smiled slightly and said "sure we can, if you won't be too irritated by the calm aura around me-" "I'm sure I'd be more relieved than irritated, finally meeting someone who's quiet, Mr............um......." You trailed off
"Its Sen. Its Kaibara Sen, [y/n]. And please don't call me Mr. or sir like you did with Kendo. In fact, everyone would be happier if you didn't add a title to their names" he chuckled, making you extend your hand as you replied "I'll keep that in mind, Sen-kun"
"allow me to call you chan?" It was more of a statement than a question, so you laughed "I'm not a little girl, but okay, Sen-kun" "then we have a deal" he took your hand and shook it, making you shake your head before staring up at him.
you felt heat waves wash into your cheeks when you noticed that he was peering down at you the same way. You kept your eyes trained on his until the sound of footsteps broke you out of you reverie. You stepped back and pulled your hand out of his grasp, asking "did you invite someone here, Sen-kun?"
'What would've happened if that person didn't come here?' Just the thought of it made your cheeks flush darkly, you shook your head, getting rid of the disastrous thoughts.
A male voice called out "Yo, Sen are you here already? You asked me to hang out here and you're not even............oh" the voice trailed off as the owner rounded the tree to see you and Sen standing across each other. The boy walked over to Sen and raised an eyebrow "why's [y/l/n] here?"
He thought he whispered, but you could hear him clearly, so you answered for Sen " I found this place while trying to get as far away from the class as possible without leaving the school, so that's why I'm here" "you heard me?!" He asked. You giggled "whispering is practically useless wherever I am"
"The name's Awase. Yosetsu Awase. Nice to meet you" he said, stretching a hand out. You took his outstretched hand, noticing how your own disappeared into his.
"for a teenager, you have big hands, Awase-kun. Also, you can call me [y/n]" you said, making the boy smile uncertainly and ask "so.......are we friends now?" "Yes we are" your answer was swift.
He sighed "for a moment there I thought I wouldn't pass the initiation" one of your loud giggles rent the air, making him smile widely in relief. You all sat down under the tree's shade, playing some music from Awase's phone and getting to know each other properly.
Awase was a funny person who talked a little too crudely with the frequently-occurring cuss every now and then but you could live with that, what made him more of your ideal friend was that he was kind, offering to help you with anything you needed.
Sen on the other hand was someone who did not like noise, stupid people and not thinking properly before talking, and his dark humor often sent you into a laughing fit, tears of laughter spilling from the corners of your eyes.
You enjoyed their company very much, although some of Awase's loud swearing startled you, Sen made up for it with his dark humor and calm demeanor.
As the bell for break over rang, the boys stood up, Sen pulling you to your feet as they chorused "can I/walk you back to class?" You looked at them both and said "nothing would make me happier" before they set you in their middle and started the journey back to the classroom.
'I'm beginning to like it here at U.A. It didn't look promising at first, but now it is. Good bye [y/n] the heiress and welcome (y/n) the hero in training'
Your thoughts sang to you as you walked down the hallways with your friends.

FanfictionThis book is literally so crappy, please don't be mean cause I started this when I barely understood the concept of writing. I'll revisit the earlier chapters when I'm done with the major plot.
