Tobias's POV

"Well the quickest way would definitely be the train but I may be able to get Max to call us a car to take us." Zeke says rushing out the door, not seconds later Max runs in.

"Baby's coming back early Max please can you call someone to take us to Erudite?" I ask franticly he nods and runs out the door.

I'm hugging Tris when she grumbles something. "Huh?" I ask "I want Eric. I want my dad." She says through her still gritted teeth.

"I'll go." I say and Shauna takes my place soothing her.

I run through the corridor and into the pit finding his house in minutes. I bang my fist on his door constantly until he opens the latch. "The baby is coming like now." I say quickly, Eric runs into his apartment and puts on some clothes. I then run back in the direction of home and Eric soon follows me.

We get inside and Eric looks like he has been shot when he sees Tris like this, I punch his arm hard. "Don't be a pussy it will piss her off." I hiss. He stands tall and crosses his arms over his chest. "Tris." he salutes, she looks up with fear in her eyes she shows a faint smile "Glad you could make it." she says and half heartedly laughs but then winces in pain.

I rush back beside her and she asks for Natalie, "baby not that many people will be allowed with us but I can ask if she can meet us at Erudite." I whisper into her hair kissing her head in the process.

"We've got an ambulance here now." Max says as some men come in with a stretcher. They haul her up onto it trying not to cause pain but it does, I can tell "WATCH WHAT YOUR DOING." I yell. ZEKE puts his hand on my shoulder. "Stop." I nod

"Max please can you call Natalie and ask her to meet us there please?" I say and he goes away, probably to the office.

They take Tris through the compound and into a truck. in the only one allowed in with her so the other three ride on the train. Marlene went home after the lovely encounter.

Tris still holds my hand tight and then worry strikes her face. "Baby what's wrong?" I say stroking her hand with my thumb. "what if she doesn't make it." she starts crying.

"She's a fighter. I promise you. 100% she will make it." I say kissing her and she kisses back. "I love you." she says before the paramedics put an IV in her hand. "What are you doing?" I ask protecting her hand. "Just something to relieve the pain and to keep the baby safer. Don't worry Mr Eaton." he says reassuringly. I nod and let him continue.

We get to the hospital in a short time and there is already a room waiting for us. Dr Ash comes in "I came as soon as I heard. I'm here to help you two all the way through this." she says to us. "Thankyou." I say.

Tris is instructed to open her legs so that Ash can see if the baby is on her way or not. "Honestly from what I can tell the baby is more than happy staying in there for a little longer but you will have to stay in this hospital because Dauntless infirmary does not have the facilities to look after such young premature babies. " she tells me.

I look at tris who is asleep with her legs down but apart. I pull the thin sheet over her. "There's a bed on its way and ku can get a quick show around in the morning." Dr Ash tells me before leaving.

The bed arrives as do Shauna Zeke and Eric. There is a chair in which Eric settles himself down in with a blanket on him and I lay on the bed nearest to Tris and hold her hand and then Zeke and Shauna share the remainder of my bed and sleep together. We aren't spooning all together but they are leaving me a little space.

"Max said Nat wi be here in the morning." Eric says quietly before shutting his eyes. "Cool thanks bro." I say before shutting my eyes and going back to sleep.
