"Jen?"

I opened the window. Nakalock talaga sa loob. Tsk!

Kinapa ko yung hairpin sa buhok ko. I started unlocking it. Buti na lang mabilis buksan. I'll tell Jen to change her window pag umalis na ako. O kaya maglagay naman ng additional security. Kung ako nga nakakapasok dito, paano pa kaya yung mga kaaway ng Dad nya sa politika?

Pagkabukas ko ay pumasok ako sa kwarto nya. I silently jumped inside and made sure na nailock ko ulit yung bintana.

I scanned her room. Still the same. Just like four years ago. Ganun pa din yung ayos ng kwarto nya.

Where is she?

I drop my bag sa couch. Pagkatapos ay tinanggal ko yung suot kong black leather jacket.

I could hear the dripping of water in the bathroom. Maybe Jen is taking a bath?

Tatanggalin ko na sana yung sapatos ko ng may kumatok sa pintuan ng kwarto ni Jen.

"Jen?"

Fudge! Dinampot ko agad yung bag at jacket ko. Is that her Mom?

Natatarantang naghanap ako ng matataguan. Not in the closet area. I hate that. I tried checking Jen's clothing area. Sobrang punong-puno iyon at lalong hindi ako magkakasya doon.

I could already hear the clicking of the doorknob. Kasunod ng sunod sunod na katok.

Damn!

There's only one place where I can hide.

I immediately opened Jen's bathroom. Hoping she won't shout pag nakita ako. I immediately closed my eyes when I saw her naked in the shower.

Fudge!

"Grant?" Gulat na sabi pa nito. She immediately turned around to hide her nakedness from me. "What the hell are you doing h—"

I immediately covered her mouth. Ang lakas ng boses nya.

Gosh! Have I locked the bathroom door? Guess, I did.

Shocks! Pati tuloy ako nabasa na ng tubig mula sa shower.

"I'm sorry, Princess. Someone's outside. I need a place to hide." Mahinang bulong ko sa kanya.

Noon lang naman ito kumalma. I can pretty tell the awkwardness of our position as her front body is pressed sa bathroom wall and I am behind her as I am covering her mouth. The shower is still running. The water is hot and the steam is creating a thick fog.

"Jen, Are you in the bathroom?"

Pareho kaming natigilan ni Jen. Pinihit ko pasarado yung shower. Parang nilamig yata ako kaya nanginginig yung boses ko nung sinabi ko sa kanya na sagutin nya yung nasa labas.

"Yes, Mom." Huminga pa muna ng malalim si Jen. "Do you need anything from me?"

We heard a moment of silence. Nilalamig talaga ako. I came from outside. Tapos nabasa ako ng hot water. Now my body is craving for that hot steamy shower.

"I just want to make sure you are okay?" I caught the sincerity on Jen's Mom.

Si Jen naman ay napalingon sakin. I didn't know she's crying under the shower. Now that the shower was off, I can clearly see her puffed eyes.

"Don't worry, Mom. I'm okay. I'll be okay."

We heard her Mom sighed.

"You know how much we love you Jen, right?" Her Mom said. Dama ko yung panginginig ng katawan ni Jen. Is she crying again?
