Nakaopen lang yung pinto ng kwarto ni Candice. I went inside. She's sitting infront of a table. She's talking to her Mom.

Tahimik na pumasok ako at naupo sa kama. Mukhang naramdaman nito iyon. Tumingin lang ito saglit sa gawi ko at saka tinapos yung tawag nito sa Mommy nito.

"Do you need anything?" Kaswal na hinarap nya ako at saka inayos yung eyeglasses niya.

"Why are you not closing doors?"

Nagkibit-balikat ito. "So you guys can see what I am doing?"

Alam na ba ni Candice na pinagdududahan namin sya? O sinasadya nya lang?

"Can I ask you something?" nananantyang tanong nito.

Dahil sa sinabi nila Leigh at Sammie ay naging conscious na din tuloy ako na pag-aralan yung expression ng mukha ni Candice. Leigh is right. She have that kind of passive face.

"What is it?"

"Is there anyone of those girls.." Nag-isip ito saglit. "whom you could trust?"

Napakunot naman ang noo ko. Bagamat pinipilit kong maging kalmante. I still need to know whether Candice is a mole or not. But I want to trust my guts that she isn't.

"I trust all of them."

"Too bad. They can't be trusted. They are weaklings." Mahinang sabi nito bago kaswal na ngumiti sakin. "I can easily spot their flaws. Even yours. It won't do you good if you will be working with them. They will just slow you down."

"What do you mean?"

"They all got their wives. Their emotions are what slowing them down. If you are working with your mission, you can't drag your friends on doing it. It's a pity that you have to use your wife and friends just to infiltrate an enemy's den."

Is she talking about Lawrence Dawkins?

"I saw the plan." She confirms. "Miss Alice is not trained for combat. You shouldn't have let her in. She can just be a watchgirl or you can just fully utilize her driving skills. That's the only role you can fill her in. Nothing else." Tumayo ito at may kinuhang notebook at inabot sakin.

The notebook has my friend's names on it. Their strengths and weaknesses.

"Miss Alliston is quite good. You can keep her. She knows Martial Arts. You could have swapped her and Miss Alice's roles. That's the loophole in your plan at the first mission." point out pa ni Candice.

"What about Leigh and Vanilla?" Nananantyang tanong ko. Mali din ba yung pag gamit ko sa kanila?

"Miss Vanilla is good. She's more useful than I thought. You should teach her on how to use guns and knives so she could protect herself. She's relatively calm when she's in danger. But when she's at her normal, she tends to be clumsy and brainless."

Tama si Candice. Napansin ko nga din iyon. Nagulat pa nga ako na mas kalmado si Van kesa kay Leigh. While I normally viewed Van as a crybaby.

"Miss Leigh is good at reading people and has great observation skills. She fits her role as the front act. Just don't put her and her wife together. Because if you do, anyone can easily spot her tension and uneasiness. Actually, I did. Miss Leigh knows that Miss Van cannot protect herself. Teaching Miss Vanilla a little self-defense will lift her personality."

Inayos ulit ni Candice yung salamin nito na nalalaglag.

"Why do you have to wear an eyeglass when your vision is normal?" diretsang tanong ko sa kanya.
