Chapter 10 Confession of a torpe;accept or reject?

Dismissal time.

I already finished all my classes and finished touring Mirko too.Heto na't pauwi na ko nang may humawak sa braso ko.

"Sabay ka na sakin" si Kieth pala nangyaya umuwi.Bago pa ako makatanggi biglang may lumapit pang isa.

"Dri sabay na tayo" This time it was Mirko.Nagkatinginan ung dalawa atsaka sabay na tumingin sakin

"Sabay ka sakin" sabay nilang sabi with much enthusiasm.

"Maglalakad na lang ako" alam kong matalino naman sila at nakuha nila ang ibig kong sabihin pero bakit ang kulit padin nila?

"Hindi,sasabay ka sakin"this time Keith looks serious and I know this time he's not just suggesting but demanding na sumabay na ako sa kanya.I can't probabaly refuse dahil sa kasunduan namin pero bago pa man uli ako makapagsalita ay pinutol uli ito ni Mirko

" Hoy pare wag mo nga siyang pilitin.Atsaka sakin siya sasabay dahil pinakiusapan ako ni tita na ihatid ko siya ng ligtas sa bahay nila" I looked at Keith

"Look Keith..next time na lang.My family's probabaly expecting me to arrive with Mirko " kumunot ang noo niya and he slightly squeezed my arm ,I did not even notice na nandun pa pala yun.

"Promise?" I'm not really into promises just like how I'm not really into love.Promises-they're just nonsense,they just end up being broken and if promises are meant to be broken what's the sense of having such promises?Pero in this case to assure Keith I answered him "Promise" and smiled warmly at him.

I then turned to Mirko and I found him na nakakunot ung noo and thinking deeply as if confused.

"Tara" sabi ko sa kanya.

While we're walking papuntang parking lot sa school(yes meron) bigla na lang nagsalita si Mirko.

"Dri wala ba talagang namamagitan sa inyong dalawa?"

"I mean you and that Keith guy" dagdag niya

I laughed which made Mirko shocked and more confused.

"The heck Mirko?No way!Me and him?oh come on,you've got to be kidding me.Mirko tell me...are you mocking me?" Sino bang hindi matatawa sa sinabi niya?ako daw kasi tsaka yung Keith na yun?As if naman ,tss and I swear it will never be.

"Sure ka?" I scoffed

"Ang kulit mo,nahawa ka na yata kay Yanyan eh,tss." Here I am taking this conversation lightly pero pagtinignan mo si Mirko seryosong seryoso siya.

"Eh bat ka pumayag makipagpromise sa kanya?a-and you even smiled...in front of him!" I almost face palm when he said that.

"Mirko,I laughed in front of you" rolling my eyes at him

"Yun nga eh!You-you changed..and I'm thinking na siguro   dahil un.." bago niya pa matapos ung sasabihin niya ay inunahan ko na siya.

"Dahil sa kanya?Mirko naman.I haven't changed ,I'm still this Driana that doesn't believe in love.Past,present and maging sa future hindi na magbabago yun.You should know that having to change myself for a certain someone is not something that I do" he sighed and then smiled at me

"Ok I give up,kahit kelan naman di ako nanalo sayo eh tsaka sabi mo yan eh,I trust your words" buti naman kasi I know that I can trust my own words too...and I'm positive about it,no doubt.

"Guess I'm not too late nga"

"You keep on telling that kanina pa,can't you just go straight to the point?" He laughed.
