Chapter 10

here is a big 'story off course', sorry...

(Eren's POV)

I woke up in an a bed that wasn't my own. I sat up, a cloth on my forehead and white clothes on. I looked around and saw that I wasn't back at HQ.

What happened?

That's when I saw Captain Levi and Ed. They were still in their uniform, except Edward who had changed out of his black uniform shirt into a red one. The Corporal was leaning against the door, his eyes closed and the Alchemist was sitting crossed legged on a stool, sleeping soundly. It made me wonder how could they fall asleep in such weird positions. 

I chuckled softly, but that was all it took to wake up humanity's strongest.

"Yeager." he said formally, straightening out his jacket. 

Edward's eyes shot open at the sound of my name and immediately tackled me in a hug.

"Eren!!" 

"Hey Ed." I chuckled.

I patted the top of his head, remembering how short he was. The corporal sat on Edward's stool, crossed his legs and arms. 

Edward pulled away then sat on the side of the bed. His face became serious as he asked what I remembered.

"I mean, you created that blast, then I was in Titan form, I chased Annie and fought her for awhile, then a sudden rage and a new strength, I remember you pushing her off the wall, then nothing. Thanks for that by the way."

"Yea, no prob." he said handing me a glass of water.

As I sipped on the liquid, I saw the captain and Ed exchange worried glances, then when I had put the cup down, they told me everything that happened. 

"Also, there's something that we discovered while you were unconscious." started Ed.

"When Elric created that spike, following the rule of equivalent exchange, he only moved the wall up, he didn't create a pike on top of the wall, am I correct?" asked Captain Levi, looking at Ed.

"Yes. And well, since I didn't put the wall back to its original shape, when the pike fell off, the area where it was, was missing. And that's when we saw a Titan's face."

I dropped the cup and it shattered on the ground. Captain, being the clean freak that he is, removed the shards in seconds then threw them in the bin. 

"Be careful Yeager. So yes there is a Titan in the walls. We quickly covered it up to avoid a panic but Hange and Armin are formulating theories and trying to find pastor Nick as we speak and Erwin is being sent to court for the damage done on the Stohess district."

I jumped out of bed, took my shirt off and was about to take my pajamas off, but Ed stopped me with his metal arm.

"Hey, where are you going?" he asked.

"I'm going to see the others, to apologize."

"But Mikasa told us to make sure you stayed here and rest."

I ignored him then took my pants off, then slipped my white uniform pants over my boxers (do boxers even exist? meh...), I winced in pain as I tried to slip my olive green shirt on. Ed helped me slip the shirt, when he finished tying the knot, I didn't bother with the jacket, I just put the waist belt and leg belts then slipped my feet in the boots and ran outside, Corporal and Edward following me.

I walked around the building until I found Mikasa and Armin talking in hushed tones in the courtyard. I smiled and ran towards them, they only noticed me when I jumped on them, bringing us all to the ground.
