Chapter 25

(Edward's POV)

"Is she okay?!" I yelled at Mikasa who managed to catch Historia.

"Yeah! She's fine!" she answered.

We ran up the stairs, doing our best to not fall over because of the wind. Sasha stayed with Mikasa and Historia, the rest of us went to Eren and secured his arms and legs, taking one limb each.

"Keys!" shouted Levi.

"Captain?! Guys?!" called Eren, shocked.

Mikasa threw the captain the key ring that he caught and handed them to Connie who started try to unlock his legs. But he was clearly under pressure and had a hard time keeping his nerves under control.

"Anytime soon Connie..." I urged.

"Dammit! Which one is it?" he said still looking for the right one.

In front of us, the body of a huge titan was forming, the bones were practically all there, the only thing missing was the muscle tissue but by the time that would form, the cavern will be no more and we'd all be dead.

"You hear me Eren? It's not only that titan, there's also a bunch of people with guns we have to deal with!" yelled Jean to the shifter.

"Well, first there's the roof that's going to collapsed." reminded Levi, looking at a big chunk of crystal that was about to come falling on us.

"Connie hurry up!" I shouted again.

He had managed the right leg, but he was still struggling to unlock Eren's left leg, and he wouldn't have time to unlock his arms too before we would be flattened. So I came up with a last minute idea, it was reckless but it was the only thing I could think of.

"You three! Hold on to Eren!" I shouted.

They didn't protest, but they did look confused. Connie held on to Eren's right leg, Jean held his right arm, and Levi wrapped his arms around the boy's upper body. Once they were all hugging Eren, I quickly transformed my right arm into a blade then in one slice I cut both the right arm and leg chain. The last chain on his left hand pulled us all away from the platform and the five of us flew towards the cavern wall. Just in time before the ceiling crashed on where Eren was tied down.

I put out my metal leg and arm in front of me and took the impact on the wall with my automail limbs. Then I cut the last chain and we fell on the stairs.

"Ow, ow, ow, ow!" moaned Jean.

"We're not done yet!" I said picking Eren up and running up the stairs.

The others followed me and we joined the girls, who were all against the wall, looking at the chamber crumble around them. And the titan was getting closer and closer to be fully formed.

"Just how shitty is this going to get..." Levi complained.

"It's even bigger than the Colossal Titan!" Jean shouted.

"We have to find a way out!" yelled Historia.

"We're going to die..." cried Sasha.

Then a huge chunk of crystal was heading straight for us, and I suddenly remembered something Hange told me, about the crystals.

Silica, calcium, carbon and titan blood...

I clapped my hands and put them on the floor, the electricity growing through the crystal ground. Once I gained control of the material, I forced it to lift up, creating a sort of shelter. But it wouldn't hold long, with every rock that cracked it, I had to add another layer of crystal.
