(Edward's POV)
I felt a sharp pain in my head that got my eyes opening up. I shot up from my lying position and clutched my head. When the ache was gone, I looked around and saw that I was lying in a bed in another unknown room. It had a table and a couple chairs. There was a window and the sun was shining brightly. I looked at myself, my head was wrapped in several bandages, I had a plaster on my face but at least my arm is working okay. I raised my eyes towards the door and what I saw made me sigh.
Right there infront of my bed was once again, Levi and Eren, sound asleep.
We have to stop meeting like this.
Levi was sleeping, well standing against the wall, his eyes were closed. He wasn't wearing his uniform, he was in a grey shirt with black suit on top and the same ascot tie. As for Eren, he fell asleep on a chair next to the captain, wearing a casual white shirt and dark pants, his head was leaning against his superiors hip and he was sleeping like a baby.
My god... this is so awkward
I cleared my throat and they immediately jumped a bit. Eren, mortified began to sweat as Levi shot some dark glances at him.
"Ed!" shouted Eren, looking towards me. "How are you?"
"I'll live but that's not the point, how are the others?" I replied quickly.
"Well, we managed to get this little brat and his friends back safely, can't say the same for most of our soldiers, we sustained a lot of casualties but we have Erwin back, but he is missing an arm." explained Levi, crossing his arms.
I looked at Eren, he was staring at the ground uncomfortably. Probably thinking that all those deaths were his fault, but truth is, they were also my fault.
"How did Erwin lose his arm anyway?" I decided to ask, trying to change the subject.
"The commander led titans to us, in an effort to stop Reiner from running away, but on the way he got his arm bitten off." answered Eren.
"Apart that, I think there's one more thing you have to tell Edwards, right brat?" the corporal added looking at Eren.
"Right." he nodded.
Then he told me what happened after I fell unconscious. That titan with the blond hair, had killed Hannes, that ginger that Eren grew up knowing from the Garrison. He told me that in a desperate attempt to avenge his mother that was eaten by that very titan, he punched it's hand and yelled. Then he somehow manage to control the other titans to attack both that blonde titan and Reiner, forcing the shifters to retreat. And finally he explained how they came back to Trost with unconscious me.
"So wait, you controlled titans with your voice?" I recapped.
"Yup. It's weird huh?"
"No it's just fucking Deus ex Machina, that is..." I answered.
"Deus ex... what? The hell are you saying Elric?" hissed the captain.
"Nothing!" I quickly said. "Can you do me a favor?"
"Sure."
"Can you bring me to the Commander? I have something I want to ask him."
They looked at each other, then they agreed to take me to him. I got out of the bed but immediately wobbled on my feet and fell forwards.
"Slow down Fullmetal brat." scold the captain, catching met. "You're still exhausted, use this."
He pointed at a wheelchair that I hadn't noticed earlier. I slowly got on my feet with help from the wall and managed to get in the chair. Then Eren pushed me out the room and around the courtyard. There we caught up with the other cadets who were chatting between them, their conversations seemed friendly enough but I could tell that they were nervous somehow. When they saw me, they came up to me and congratulated me and patted my back. Armin asked me where were we going, I said that I had to go see Erwin. They nodded then we all went our separate ways after that, Eren stayed with Mikasa, Armin and Jean. Connie, Historia and Sasha went somewhere else and Levi took me to the commander's room.
