Battle sequences in this episode. First time writing them, don't judge please.
(Edward's POV)
"Hey Eren! Ready to get your ass kicked?" I taunted, getting to my side of the field.
"You wish." he smirked, taking his jacket off.
We were in our training session with Levi as a referee and coach. The exercise was simple, if you get your opponent pinned to the ground for more than 10 seconds or if you can get the other to surrender you win. No alchemy and no titan transformation were allowed and there is no time limit.
I pulled off my jacket, revealing a white longs sleeve loose t shirt and since I didn't want to ruin the gloves Levi gave me, I had one combat glove on that covered my metal fingers. Eren kept his uniform shirt on but took off his belts.
We stood face to face, about 12 feet apart and ready for Levi to begin the fight.
"What are you waiting for brats? Let's go, I haven't got all day." he yelled, a cup of tea in his hands as he sat, crossed legged on a chair further away.
I didn't have time to register that the battle had started, because Eren was already infront of me.
Fuck...
He slashed his leg and my right leg, I lost my balance and fell backwards, he loomed over my falling body, ready to punch my gut. But I managed to arch my back, put my automail arm to the ground then spun around on my palm and evaded his punch. He punched the ground, his knuckles were a bit red but the familiar hissing of his regeneration filled my ears.
He looked at me and smirked and my stunned expression.
"Not bad, Elric."
"I can do better, Yeager." I grinned lifting my fists again.
He was taller and had his regeneration ability, so I had to use my metal limbs to try to make a wound fatal enough so that it takes more than 10 seconds for him to heal.
Shit... this is going to be hard.
(Eren's POV)
He managed to dodge my first attack, he was pretty damn fast. My main focus was to avoid those metal limbs, if I don't, those things could do some serious damage. I remembered the power in that punch that sent me flying through the window yesterday.
Yeah. Let's not humiliate yourself like that in front of humanity's strongest soldier.
He lifted his fists and looked at me with a calculating look in his gold eyes. Then I had an idea, if he was analysing me, maybe I could fake a weakness. I winced just a tiny bit on the ribs that he broke yesterday. It was really small, but I knew nothing escaped those eyes. True enough, he lunged to my left, he kicked with his left leg, but I dodged it easily, but he was prepared for a trap because he immediately swung his metal leg in a circle to his left.
I raised my arms and managed to block his leg just above my face. I felt the hard metal push down on my forearms.
Shit! They're going to break!
I was kneeling on the ground, his leg pushing me down. I felt my knees push in the ground downwards. I grabbed his leg with my hands, then quickly used his movement as momentum to swing both my legs above my head. His leg swung down and I flipped above him. He was falling down and I kicked my leg in mid air at the back of his head. He fell to the ground and I landed on my feet a bit further away.
He quickly got up to avoid the 10 second timer. Cracked his neck twice, then looked at me a smirk on his face.
What's so funny?
