"I think this is a good spot to land," Artemis said out loud. He dropped to the ground with Vale falling off his back with a whoop. Artemis sighed. Vale leaped in the air, slapping the dust off his clothes. He smoothed his jacket and looked around the landscape.

Same as always. Just... a large forest, with green bushes ending with brown, crusted tips. Small leaves were smothered on the ground with sticks and dead branches. However, the trees were different- weird-looking. A straight root sprouted up covered by normal-looking bark, but then a swerve formed on the trees. Almost as if something heavy was tossed on it and bent the plant.

"I swear, there is literally nothing but forest," Tobi said, putting her hands on her hips.

"So... " Vale said, clapping his hands together once, and took in the new look. "What does this, 'Valor' girl look like?"

Tobi formed a smile on her lips and asked, "Why do you wanna know?"

"Well," Vale began, swinging around to keep pace with the others. Tobi eagerly watched the formation of the trees and how it curved.

"Wow!" she exclaimed, spinning around excitedly. "What is this place? I've never seen anything like it!"

"You just never told me much about her..." Vale muttered, itching his arm. Astronomy licked his paw and climbed up on his back, purring quietly.

"Well, she has wavy, dark brown hair, hazel eyes, and she can read people's minds, and levitate. Also, she has telekinesis. There, now you know stuff about her. So let's focus on finding a way to her."

"Right," Vale murmured, embarrassed at why he asked the question in the first place.

How long is this forest anyway? Patience asked, watching Hassa run after a mouse.

"Hassa! Get back here!" Tobi demanded.

"B-But... mouse!" Hassa protested. Tobi gave him a dirty look. He hung his head low and slowly walked back to the trio. "Whatever, human."

"We'll have lunch later, Hassa," Tobi assured him, scratching his back. Hassa eventually gave in, sticking his tongue out in pleasure and flopping on his back.

"Alright alright, get up," his owner muttered, grinning widely while crossing her arms. Hassa pouted and stood up to shake his head with dirt sputtering out.

"What now?" Vale asked Artemis, who was sharpening his dagger with a grey, oval-shaped stone.

"We walk," he smiled, throwing the rock away. It bounced on the ground and rested on a bushel of tan, crispy leaves with several holes. Then abruptly, out of nowhere, a ball of fire blasted out of the ground with a sudden yell.

Vale jumped back and rolled down on the floor with a grunt. As the ball melted the ground beneath him the embers wavered and glowed blindly. A figure could be seen behind the flames approaching him steadily.

Phoenix strode towards Vale and snatched his collar, pulling him near his face.

"Where did she go?! Do you have her?!" he shouted.

He scrunched up his face. "W-what? What do you mean?! Who's "she"?!"

Phoenix threw him on the ground harshly. "Don't play dumb with me! Tell me where she is!" A sword slashed out of his hand. "Unless you want me to stab your throat out!"

"What in the world are you talking about?!" Vale yelled in fury, standing up and grabbing his ice dagger from his belt. "Tell me who 'she' is?! Unless you want me to stab out your throat!" Phoenix growled and hesitated slowly. He marched right up to him and mashed his forehead on Vale's.
