Nene's POVLola and i waited for L.D to arrive. It was almost an hour gone, yet, no sign of L.D. I was so anxious to see him arrive that i broke out sweating even though the Airconditioner was on.
"If that low life just as much as dare try to stand you up today, i will deal with him!" Lola fumed.
"I don't think he'll do that... or could he...?" I refrained from saying more as i remembered how i stood him up when he first asked me on a date at ESQ.
I swallowed hard and prayed silently. Lola went upstairs to get her make up kit to touch up my face again as soon as she noticed sweat rolling down my fore head.
As soon as Lola was done with the touch up, the door bell rang and i jumped off the couch so fast that i almost tripped. My heart was so overjoyed at the sound of the doorbell that i had to place my right hand on my chest to soothe it as if that will help calm it.
Lola went to open the door and i saw her eyes and mouth open so wide in shock. She slowly stepped back as L.D walked in looking so dashingly handsome in his casual formal outfit, carrying a bouquet.

Nene's Bouquet
"I'm sorry i came a bit late...i had to...i had to get this bouquet. I figured our date will be incomplete without this." L.D stutters as he gave me the bouquet.
"Thank you so much. I love it...i love the different shades of purple..."
"I know. Purple is your favourite colour. You told me" L.D interjects with a grin.
"Wow! Who knew you could be this romantic and detailed with your gifts?! We thank God for your life ooo. You go fear drastic change!" Lola mocked L.D.
"Please, don't start with me... don't ruin our moment na. Just carry your busybody self upstairs before you say something that will change Nene's mind. Please." L.D plead.
