Chapter 34

Ola's POV

It's been four (4) days... four beautiful and memorable days that i've spent with Nene. So far, it's been fun doing things together. Each time i think about her going back to Lola's place, i feel very sad. Does she really have to go back to that house? Living with Lola is going to be very toxic,... A Nightmare!!

Good thing that 'corporate union' called 'marriage' did not work between Lola and i. I'd probably be living a miserable life with an unpredictable creature... who would have thought that Lola will exhibit an uncouth behaviour? She never struck me as someone who could exhibit irrational and violent tendencies!
All in all, i'm so glad Nene is staying with me for these few days...

Nene and i had our breakfast early as usual and left for school. As i drove, we had our hands clasped, throughout the journey. Nene as usual kept singing along with the music blasting from the car speakers. I'll chuckled and made fun of her each time she missed out any song lyric. At a point i joined her to sing along... it was fun and i loved every bit of it.

We arrived the student car park at the same time with Lola. We alighted and went to exchange greetings with Lola after which i insisted that Nene and i stay back in my car. I didn't want Lola walking with us to the department... That girl just has too much 'negative energy' for my liking, walking with her is an 'ultimate doom!!'

After Lola left us for the department, Nene and i walked back to my car hand in hand. I sat on my car bonnet with Nene standing in between my legs while i wrapped my arms around her waist. Nene tried to pull away each time some students passed us by but i held on to her tight and drew her closer.

"You really need to relax and stop worrying about what people may think of us right now." I said in an alluring voice.

"Who says i'm bothered?" She replied shyly.

"Your response right now says so..." I said as i kissed her.

Nene pushed me away slightly then i said:

"You see! You pushed me away... i guess you're very uncomfortable being with me here, right?"

"Why would you even think that? Come on, let's go to the department..." She said as she pulled away completely from me and tried to walk towards the department.

"Hold on a minute, i just want us to..." I said. Grabbing her right wrist, i paused my sentence as soon as i noticed her bare wrist.

"...where is the clan bead bracelet i gave you? You're not wearing it, why?" I asked, gazing at her with a straight face.

Nene tried to avoid my gaze but i slightly pushed her chin with my left forefinger to face my gaze. I just wanted to look onto her eyes as she spoke. I have come to realise that Nene only avoid my gaze whenever she is uncomfortable or doesn't want me to know certain things. I really don't like it when she keeps me in the dark...

"Angel, i asked you a question." I said as i waited patiently for her response.

"Ummm... i guess i left it at home..." She replied nervously.

"You guess?! Meaning you're not even sure where it is?" I asked as i let go of her wrist, getting slightly upset with her response.

What kind of unsure response is she giving me?! I'll really be upset if she's misplaced the bracelet. I mean, i gave her the bracelet just three days ago and she's not even sure where she kept it! That bracelet is a seal of the passion we share...a symbol of the strong feelings i feel for her and she's guessing where it could be?! Is she kidding me or what?!
