Nene's POV

▪▪▪ "No... please, let me explain... please... it's not what you think..." She clasped her hands together, pleading.

"Did you just say it's not what i think?! Are you saying that i'm too stupid and dumb to understand what i saw or i'm blind?!"

"No, that's not what i meant... Please Nenny, calm down... please, let me explain." Lola whispered.

Tilting my head to the right side i said through my clenched teeth:

"Go ahead! I'm... listening!" ▪▪▪

Lola was quiet for a long while which was getting me somehow iritated.

"I'm waiting. Why are you silent? You said you want to explain. So why the silence?" I asked, glaring at Lola.

"Um... um..."

"Go on. Please explain to me how you kept your dating a secret! Dating my own brother for that matter!! You kept such a vital info from me and we live under the same roof?!! We do things together every single day yet it didn't occur to you to tell me you are dating my brother! Isn't that so heartless of you?!" I interject.

"I was going to tell you..."

"No you were not!! Don't you give me that lame response! If it hadn't been for my seeing you both accidentally, you weren't ever going to tell me!! That's why you are so eaten up by so much guilt and you're here crying as if you're the victim!! GEEZ! STOP CRYING! IT'S ANNOYING ME!! YOUR FAKE TEARS ISN'T MOVING ME AT ALL!" I said abruptly.

"HEY! CUPCAKE!! STOP IT!!! DON'T YELL OR TALK TO HER LIKE THAT! You're crossing your limit talking to her that way and i won't tolerate that from you! Take it easy on her! Did she commit a crime?! So, why are you being so hard on her?! Stop making her feel awkward! We are dating and that's it! Just accept it and move on! Don't talk to her as if you are scolding a kid! Don't forget she's a year older than you, so respect her!" Tona scolded.

I gave Tona a death glare then i said:

"I'm crossing my limit?! She's a year older?! Point of correction, she's older than me with a few months... Nine (9) months! Is Nine (9) Months up to a year?! Oooh! So now, i'm the one being hard on her? You're scolding me because of your stupid romance with her?! You both were smooching here, in my face, as if this place is a brothel!! Tell me, who crossed the limit?! She or me?! I wasn't the one acting like a slut, she was!! So, why scold me?! This is unbelievable!"

"CHINENYENWA! DON'T GET ME STARTED!!" Tona yelled angrily.

Tona stopped playing the video game, got off the couch and walked towards me. He has never called me by my full name. He only calls my full name when he is extremely upset with me.

I noticed Tona clenching his fist. Glaring at me intensely, he grit his teeth and said:

"How dare you call the woman i love a slut!! We are a couple and you MUST accept that fact! NOT YOU! NOT EVEN MUM AND DAD OR ANYONE ELSE IN THIS ENTIRE UNIVERSE WILL STOP LOLA AND I FROM BEING TOGETHER!! THE EARLIER YOU UNDERSTAND THIS FACT, THE BETTER!! I demand you apologise to her right now! Your words are rude! You! You are so rude to her and i won't have any of that from you! Don't YOU EVER, in your lifetime, call her a slut! Don't YOU EVER insult her in any way, be it directly or indirectly!! DON'T YOU EVER be rude to her! EVER!! DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?! The day you do that, God help you because, on that day, i will break your jaw! I will make sure you never get to move your jaw to speak a word ever again!! You do know me! Try me and see! Now, APOLOGISE TO HER AND STOP BEING A SPOILT, RUDE BRAT!!"
