Nene's POVFor two days, i ignored L.D's calls and text messages; I avoided every attempt he made to see me. I couldn't bring myself to let go of what he did to Lola. Even though i spoke to Lola on phone and she assured me she is doing fine, i wasn't still ready to accept L.D's apology.
On the third day, i felt like taking a swim so i went to the swiming pool which is at the backyard. After swimming for a while, i decided to get out and lie down on one of the fancy sun lounger chairs by the pool.
As i approached the sun lounger chair, i felt so awkward, like i was being watched. I turned to the direction that i felt was creeping me out and i cringed at what i saw. L.D was at his balcony staring at me. I was transfixed, staring back at him and not knowing how i should react.
I quickly got back to my senses when he waved and gestured to his phone then he points to mine which i had placed on the table before i went swimming.
Almost immediately, my phone rang and i went over to my phone. I kept looking at his call ID on my phone as it kept ringing. I glared back at him as i wrapped myself with a towel, turned and went into the house. After several calls, L.D sent a text message:
"Angel, please, pick my call. I'm so sorry. Please. Let's talk."
I didn't reply the message. I fixed myself a light breakfast and midway into eating my meal, i received another text message from him:
"Angel, it's ok if you don't want to see or talk to me but please, come to the poolside. Let me see you one more time. At least once and i promise i won't bother you ever again. Please, do this favour for me. I beg you."
His message brought tears to my eyes. Is he really going to end our realtionship if he sees me one more time as he requested? Will i be able to live without him if he does end things with me? Am i wrong for reacting the way i did? But he was the one who caused this in the first place.
I got off the dining chair and slowly walked towards the sliding door leading to the backyard. As i touched the door handle, i hesitated to open it. Placing my left hand on my chest, i took a deep breath in and let out a sigh as i slowly opened the sliding door.
I walked out to the pool without lookng up at him and stood there for awhile then slowly raising my head, i met his gaze. My heart melted when i saw the way he stared at me. I was really blown away...just seeing him there made me want to be with him.
I watched as he typed on his phone, i guess he's sending me a text message. Seconds later, just as i guessed, my phone beeped and i reluctantly looked at my phone screen. He gestured with his hands, pleading that i read his message. I let out a sigh and clicked on it:
"Thank you Angel. Thanks for allowing me to see you again. I know i said i won't bother you after i see you but please, i want to beg for one last favour. Let me come over to your place and let's talk. I swear, i really won't bother you after that. I promise."
I swallowed hard and replied:
"Ok."
I held back my laughter as i watched him jump in excitement like a kid who had just been gifted his favourite toy. He ran in as i smiled and walked back into the house to await his arrival.
Not long after, i received a call from one of the guards via the intercom asking if he could allow L.D into the house to which i said 'yes'.
My pulsation went haywire, beating faster than it should. I quivered as i heard the doorbell. Slowly, i walked towards the door and pulled it open.
Immediately i opened the door, i turned my back on him and said:
"What do you want?"
Immediately, L.D rushed forward and gave me a tight embrace from behind. I struggled to break free but he kept on hugging me, and whispering into my ear saying:
