Camp Echo Falls (Completed)

Chapter 8

No one opposes to playing, so we all gather to sit in a circle on the floor, Naomi and Eli jumping down from the tree trunk and take a seat either side of Alison.

Jax and Will move from their seats to the floor, sitting on both sides of me, Leo fills the gap in the circle by sitting with his back against a rock, next to Naomi.

By this time my head is a little less dizzy and the weird feeling in my stomach has disappeared. Naomi knowingly brought a few bottles of water, like the mother of the group she is, which I've been sipping from to clear my mind.

"Right, me first," Eli says before anyone else gets a chance to have a turn. He turns to look at me, his green eyes sparkling with misbehaviour and curly blonde hair bouncing as he speaks, "Jade, truth or dare?"

I want to do a dare, but I don't trust my lightweight self after taking three shots. So I choose to say, "Truth."

Jax sighs and Naomi tells me that I'm a square. Eli interrupts telling them that I can't change my mind now and he doesn't waste any time thinking, as he already knows what he wants to ask.

"Jade are you a virgin?"

Of course that would be the first question.

I roll my eyes and look to my side at Will, seeing a look of fake innocence across Eli's face as he smiles prettily, waiting for my response.

I'm about to answer, when I feel someone's eyes on me from across the circle. I turn my head to the direction of what feels like literal fire, from the intensity of the glare.

Only to met with the gorgeous green eyes staring at me, a hint of something flickering behind them, almost like he's trying to hold back a rage.

The dark haired boy clears his throat, quickly breaking away from my now confused look. His jaw tightly clenched, his eyes drifting off into the distant trees, as he raises a water bottle of his own to his lips.

I try not to let the weird gesture bother me, as I turn my attention back to Eli sighing, "Yeah I'm a virgin."

A violent spitting noise comes from the dark haired boy as the water that happened to be in his mouth just seconds ago, is now covering the ground next to Naomi.

The girl who's now covered in Leo's spit and half swallowed water scoffs, her mouth wide open as she blinks once and then twice, flicking the water from her bare arms with a glare.

A few spluttering coughs come from the choking boy, his emerald green eyes flicking up to me, a grin creeping across his lips as he tries to regains his breath, completely ignoring the hatful glare from Naomi.

"You have got to be kidding me." His thick dark voice says through a growing smile, his attention flicking from me to Will who happens to be sitting behind me.

The blonde boy stiffens behind me but I ignore it, furrowing my eyebrows at Leo as I speak, "What? There's nothing wrong with being a virgin. Is there?"

The dark haired boy seems taken back by my stubborn question, not expecting me to stand my ground as much as I am.

I don't see why most people think being a virgin is a bad thing anyway. And I'm only seventeen, there is plenty of time for sex later on, when I'm ready.

Eli nods as if to say 'she's not wrong' from beside Naomi, pinching his lips together in acceptance. Naomi on the other hand, rolls her eyes dramatically and sits back on her elbows shaking her head lightly. Mumbling something along the lines of 'I thought I was a worse influence than this.'

"Sorry about that," the dark haired boy who only just realises what he did, nods his head in Naomi's direction.

Getting a hand of unbothered forgiveness from the girl who mumbles, "Not the worst thing I've had spat on me."

Leo pipes up again, turning back to me, "It ain't a bad thing. But still it's shocking," he looks over me once as his eyes widen, "especially because it's you."

The words leave his mouth without hesitation and I can't help but scoff.

Asshole.

Will goes red beside me and I start to feel bad, not for myself but for Will. I have chosen not to have sex, which I don't regret. But I don't want Will to be embarrassed because of my decision.

"Excuse me?" I spit, my tone soaked in venom. I look at Leo, my eyes burning into his, the anger clear on my face. He looks confused as if I misread what he meant.

"That's not what I meant. I'm not calling you a slag or anything." He says carefully, trying not to anger me further.

"Okay good." I state sharply and look away from him. I grab the bottle from beside Will and take another long sip, hoping to drown out the awkwardness that my answer has made.

"Anyway," I smile sweetly, taking the bottle from my lips. I try to shake off Leo's weird reaction as I speak, "Naomi, truth or dare?"

Naomi picks dare and has to sit on Jax's lap for the next two turns. A few more dares are given out and Will ends up downing some of the vodka. Which, to be fair wasn't that hard for him because he's bigger than most of us.

And he drinks way more often than I do.

We found out that Jax, Eli, Naomi and Will have all lost their virginity. I knew about Will not being a virgin, but I didn't know about the other boys.

I obviously knew about Naomi, because she wouldn't stop talking abut it for a month straight.

I honestly don't mind Naomi's non stop talking, I love listening rather than talking. But still, a whole month. I get tired just thinking about it.

As well as that, we found out that Leo lost his virginity at fifteen, to a friend of his older brother. Which is fair enough to be honest, I didn't expect any different, but fair enough.

The weird thing was, that when he confessed it on his go, he looked right at me. Something flashed across his eyes and I got this weird feeling that he was trying to tell me something.

The game carries on, someone asking a truth as a slight breeze creeps it's way across the space. Making me regret not bringing a jumper, I move closer to Will, resting my head on his shoulder.

He stiffens under my touch and I look up at him a question forming behind my eyes. He doesn't bother to look back down at me, instead he places his arm around my shoulder.

Normally this would be comforting, but right now it just feels cold. Something in my stomach pulls tighter and I get the feeling that Will's reaction is my fault.
