Before she can say anything else, I grab her by the wrist and start running away from the lake, dragging her with me. She squeals and tries to wriggle her hand free from mine.

This is the first time I've held her properly - and I'd been dammed if she thinks I'm letting her go.

"Leo stop it." She giggles, failing to keep her voice as a whisper. She runs to keep up with me, our bodies now next to each other. We keep at a steady pace, running all the way up the dock and onto the bank, I don't let her hand go from my grasp.

We head towards the nearest row of cabins and slow down into a walk, edging round the side of the buildings, we keep our feet quite and our bodies close to the wood of the end cabin.

Out of nowhere, Jade tugs me down to the floor, I almost loose my balance and glance at her confused, but she's looking out ahead of us, her blonde hair tucked behind her ear as she contemplates how to get back to our rooms.

We're now both crouching down, so our bodies are almost touching the floor. She motions her head forward and I take the hint, staying quite as we sneak around the side of the cabin. Me in front, holding out my hand to make sure she's still there, and her behind, holding on to me.

We're so close to making it past the cabin without getting caught. Suddenly a light turns on in the window in the cabin.

Shit.

Her eyes widen. She's so gonna to kill me if we get caught. Before anyone comes out to check who's outside, I grab her arm and pull her away from the cabin.

We sprint as quick as we can, both stumbling and clumsily running without for a second looking back, she grabs onto me like holding me is going to make us go any quicker, but for some reason I don't shake her off.

When we're in hearing distance from the cabin, she bursts out into a fit of laughter. Our feet taking us forwards as I look back over my shoulder, and I can't help the grin that is spreading across my face.

The wind is refreshingly cold in my hair, the air burning in my lungs as we run hand in hand, the stars overhead our only source of light, the night wrapping us up and hiding us away from everyone else.

A massive grin is now on my face, as I listen to her beautiful laugh. It sounds so free and full of energy, something I could get use to.

I get an idea I know she'll hate and she can't stop me as I tilt my head back and let out a meaningless shout. My voice echoing in the dead of the night, bouncing off the surrounding trees, and coming back towards us.

Her gorgeous grey eyes go wide as she hisses, "Leo shut up." She's now panicking, looking around to see if anyone heard.

I can't keep the smile off my face as she worriedly checks over her shoulders at the leaders cabin. She's such a teachers pet, not wanting to get in trouble for anything.

I go to shout again but she sees me and lunges towards me, her small hand covering my mouth to muffle the noise. I don't have a second to think before I've done what I do next.

I pull her closer with the hand that's laced in hers, making her small body touch mine. Her misty grey eyes sparkling with adrenaline as she stares up at me.

Her hand is still on my mouth and I get the urge to lick it, deciding that the look on her face would be priceless I do. My tongue runs along the palm of her hand for a moment before she pulls away, her eyes brows raised  in shock and disgust.

I grin down at her as she embarrassedly tries to hide the heat rising to her cheeks. She looks adorable when she's shy.

"You're disgusting." I can see as she bites back a laugh. Her grey eyes searching mine, something hidden in them as she smiles.
