"Ali!" Naomi squeals, running over to her and wrapping her arms around her. She pulls her arms back and rests them on a now red-faced Alison's shoulders. Naomi looks over her proudly, taking in everything, and smiling widely.
"What? Is it too much?" Alison asks her eyes going scared, she pulls back from Naomi and looks over at me for my opinion. She wraps her arms around her body and goes quite.
"Ali, you look absolutely stunning." I say, still trying to comprehend how she looks, her glasses resting up in her short curly hair and her blue eyes covered in thick lashes.
Her clear skin doesn't need any makeup, but it still glows. She lets out a long breath and then laughs. "Good, because I can't be asked to change."
She looks between me and Naomi, and the sudden change in attitude cause me to laugh out loud. Naomi raise her eyebrows and then joins me in laughing. We carry on getting ready for tonight and I run the hairdryer through my hair and brush it lightly so it still has some waves in it.
The light from the setting sun makes my hair look a dark blonde and I slip on my Nike sliders, Naomi giving me a disapproving look, as she does up the straps to her black platform shoes.
I roll my eyes and Alison puts on a pair of white converse, they both sling a small handbag over their shoulders. We get to the door and I open it, a wave of hot air hits me immediately and I regret not putting my hair up into a bun.
We step out into the pink sky, children running back and forth on the grass playing catch or tag. Some camp leaders walk past the front of our cabin and we have to duck behind a bench to stop them from catching us.
The three of us giggle as we half run, half walk, due to Naomi's shoes, down to the dock. Only a few groups of people are standing around, the real party will start when it gets dark. I look around to find the boys and smile when I see them walking towards us.
Will is wearing a white button up shirt and black jeans, his blonde hair jelled slightly, so it stick up out of his eyes. He's wearing black school shoes which makes the outfit look more smart, but overall definitely hot. I notice that he's holding a glass bottle of clear liquid and I thank the heavens, as I've had a very long day.
Jax is standing next to Will, he's wearing a black 1975 band shirt with the sleeves rolled up and light blue ripped jeans. His black bandana wrapped around his forehead and black sunglasses makes him look like he's straight out of a movie.
Eli is behind them wearing white jeans and a black 'The North Face' top tucked in, revealing a Calvin Klein belt. His blonde hair gelled back makes him look much older and the black Jordan's just ties together the whole outfit.
Okay, Eli really does dress the best out of us here at camp.
The boys join us, the group goes straight into conversation, picking off from where we left off. Will comes over to me and holds up to bottle, raising his eyebrows. "Fancy a drink?" He holds out the bottle and I gladly take it, the clear liquid swishing against the sides, reminding me off the burning pain from last time.
"You clean up nicely." I say smiling as I put the bottle to my lips, taking a small sip and cringing as the hot liquid trickles down my throat.
"Only for you." He replies taking a step closer to me, his hand reaches out to my beside my face and tucks a strand of hair behind my ear.
His blue eyes look electric in the setting sun and his soft features make me want to melt. He leans down to press his lips against mine and I gladly return the kiss.
I feel him smile against me slowly and then, as soon as it began, he breaks the kiss. He loops his arm around my waist and we walk back to join our group, now standing on the dock.
Naomi takes the bottle from my hand as soon as we get with in reaching distance, and I laugh as she tilts her head back, taking a long swig of the alcohol. "I needed that, thanks." She gasps, taking a deep breath and handing the bottle to Eli.
The boys chuckle and I look at Alison concerned, we share a look and that lets me know that we're going to have to deal with a drunk Naomi tonight.
A few people start cheering and I turn my head to see Chance at the front of a group of about ten guys, he's holding up two bottles of beer and wears a wicked smile across his face.
The boys behind him, carry as many bottles of different types of alcohol as they can manage, they place the drinks down on the grass of the bank and people start to make their way over to them.
A girl wearing a black mini skirt and a bright pink tube top puts a speaker down on the dock and starts to play music, loud enough for everyone around to hear, but not so loud that the rest of the camp notice.
That's the good thing about the lake, it's surrounded by trees from all sides, apart from the bank which leads up to the cabins and buildings. It's secluded but is the main focal point of camp.
Chance and his friends mingle with our group and everyone gets lost in conversation, the night sky is filled with chatter and the faint sound of rap music. I slip from the group unnoticed, to grab a drink from the bank, I squeeze past people standing on the narrow dock, muttering apologise as I go past.
I reach the bank and the people are standing more sparse hear, a few groups sitting down on the grass, drinking and talking. I reach down for a bottle of beer and stand back up, running my hand through my hair, letting it fall down my back.
I open the bottle with a bottle opener, that was left on the floor, and take a swig of it, the foreign liquid travelling down my throat.
Keeping the bottle neck to my lips I look around the ground of people sitting and standing and that's when I see him. Out of nowhere, I feel my heart beating against my chest and have to take a deep breath to steady my vision.
Lets have some fun shall we.
