Leo's POV

The ground is uncomfortable and I feel out of placed in my all-black clothing. I swear I will make her wash my clothes if they get even a speck of dirt on them.

But then again, it's not that bad. Not as bad as hanging out with the others, seeing now that they all hate me for hitting Will. My fists still hurt from the fight earlier, the blood on my lips now cleaned. The cut on my lip has started to close up slightly, but it hurts when I talk.

Jade made it look like she knew how to get here with her eyes closed, like the path was the back if he her hand, she navigated through the trees effortlessly. I can tell she comes here a lot, and I don't blame her, it's actually pretty nice.

I could lie here for hours, clearing my mind of all the shit back home, or the fucked up thoughts swarming in my head. I could get lost in the warmth of the sun rays, or the light songs of the birds somewhere in the trees.

A small rustle from beside me breaks me away from my thoughts. I turn my gaze over to the girl laying next to me, watching as she tilts her head away from me, the golden sun hitting her face, illuminating her soft skin.

The turning of her head means that more of her neck is revealed to me, reminding me of that moment we had at the dock last night. She didn't move away when I traced her skin, instead she tilted her head, allowing me to keep going.

I wanted to kiss her skin right then, so badly. The desire stronger than I have ever felt before with another girl. I wanted her to turn around and kiss me, pressing her full lips onto mine, allowing me to explore her mouth with my tongue.

Without thinking I prop myself up on one arm, my side now against the floor and I reach over to her face. Because of how close we are laying, I find myself hovering over her small body, my finger tips inches away from her cheek. Her grey eyes flutter open and I see as she stops breathing momentarily.

Her mind races as she tries to process what is happening. I feel her hot breath against my hand as I trace her skin. I watch as she leans her face into my hand, she moves ever so slightly, so her bottom lip is touching my thumb.

Without warning, I feel her slip her warm hand underneath my shirt and place it flat on my stomach. The action makes me almost collapse from relief, her touch so soft, making my insides burn so desperately.

She wants me.

Her eyes flick between mine and my lips, trying to decide if this is a good idea, I can see the clogs turning behind her pretty eyes. I hover my body above hers, the heat in between us daring me to press up against her. I watch her as she slowly bites her lip.

Her innocent eyes looking up at me, the action making me want to take her right here and now. I can feel her chest rising and falling at a fast pace beneath me, her breathing rapid as she looks at my lips conflicted.

I lower my head slowly, darting my eyes between hers and her full lips. Her light perfume clings to me as the distance between our faces shortens. I'm inches away from her lips, inches away from her skin, inches away from the one thing that hasn't let my mind since I met Jade.

And then she stops me.

Tilting her head to the side, she looks away from me, the connection between us breaking and fading away as quick as it appeared. "I can't...I just can't." She lets out a shaky breath.

She clears her throat and I close my eyes in defeat. I feel as she drops her hand from my stomach, the lost of contact making me weak. I lower my head and I realise that I had been holding my breath.

The rush of adrenaline drains from my body and any sign of lust disappears from my lower half. She's loyal, I'll give her that. Considering this is the second time she's turned me down.
