Jade's POV

The day after it happened, I woke up soaked in sweat, my head pounded as I screamed in terror like there was no tomorrow.

Leo was on my bed within an instant rocking me as he hushed whilst telling me it's okay. I clutched onto him with weak arms as I sobbed into him.

He didn't let me go until I couldn't cry anymore, my throat dry and my face stained with tears. He ran me a shower and waited outside as I sat on the cold floor and let the water run over me.

Two police officers asked me some questions, their voices drifting in and out of my ears, Leo had to repeat their words every time I blanked them out.

He sat holding my hand as I signed multiple statements, having to tell the people in charge of camp what happened over and over again.

I didn't press charges. No matter how much I hate feel for them, I didn't want to ruin their lives like they almost did to me.

However, both of them are now banned from camp and got picked up early that next morning. I heard something along the line that their parents are sending them to military camp for troubled boys, for the next two summers.

I don't have to ever see them again.

I haven't spoken in the last two weeks. I'm not sure whether it's because I have nothing to say, or I'm too scared that the only thing to come out will be screams.

I snuggle deeper into my bed sheets as the silent tears fall down my cheeks. My head pounding, every time I close my eyes I can see their faces.

The dark outside makes me feel trapped, like I'm being suffocated by the night. The moon shining over the lake is the only thing comforting me.

Every time I stop to think for more than five seconds, I can feel his hands on my skin. I can hear every single word exchanged between them.

I sit up in my bed, throwing the covers off which have suddenly set my skin on fire. I bend my knees up to my chest and let out a sob as the wave of pain comes back.

Even in tiny material shorts and a loose top I feel like I'm being set on fire with a violent heat.

Leo is at my side within a second, "Are you okay? Can I do anything? I can ask Naomi to come here or I can run you a shower." He rambles and I shake my head.

He goes quite and I stifle an exhausted laugh, as the boy who hasn't stopped caring for me, sits patiently at my side.

It must be four am and he's still awake to be there for me.

I look up from in between my legs and smile sadly as I stare up into his green eyes. He's the only person I've trusted to be this close to me since it happened.

Well that's a lie, he hasn't left my side since that day.

He sleeps on the floor or the chair beside my bed, both the girls have gone to sleep in the boys room next door.

I told him Ali wouldn't mind if he slept in her bed, but he shook his head and said it wasn't close enough to me.

During the day, he sits on the edge of my bed for hours just scrolling through his phone as I sit in silence. He even got so bored that he picked up one of Alison's books and started reading.

I watched silently as his strong hand held the book and the other slowly turned the pages, his gorgeous eyes scanning over the words.

I stifled a laugh when he went as far to sit on the floor, with his back against the far wall and started to rummage through my makeup bag. Holding up each item with a puzzled look on his face as I explained what it did.
