Camila's POV

I forgot just how much I loved and missed Milan until we landed. The whole thing was a hassle when it came to getting everyone here and getting the dresses and the suits here but I knew that it was all going to be worth it.

Our wedding was to be simple. Nothing elegant because Shawn and I both came to the conclusion that we absolutely could not stand formal weddings.

Though, there was the ceremony and then the small reception. A good collection of people were invited. It was meant to be a small wedding with just our loved ones. Some of Shawn and I's friends were invited, his cousins, my cousins, our parents, his sister and her boyfriend and that was it.

Our colour theme was yellow and navy blue. I loved sunflowers and I obviously wanted something to correlate with them so my flowers were sunflowers and many banners and bow ties for the groomsmen were a yellow and grey striped tie.

The dresses for the bridesmaids were a beautiful navy blue, some were sleeveless and another was tiny straps that fit perfectly.

My bridesmaids were picked out easily. I didn't find it necessary to find myself a maid of honour knowing that the spot was reserved for my sister. I could picture her in the dress that I picked out solely for her with her hair done nicely with makeup that she certainly would've protested to wearing but I knew that she would've done it for me anyway.

My bridesmaids were Aaliyah, Hailee, and one of my close friends Chanelle. As for Shawn, his groomsmen were Connor, his cousin Mike, and his best friend Ryan, the one to first know that our relationship was fake in the beginning.

Christopher was the perfect candidate for a ring bearer. He was incredibly excited to play such a huge role in the wedding but soon cried at the fact that I was getting married to someone that wasn't him. It was remarkably amusing and cute to witness but he soon calmed down when Shawn explained that he'd now see me more often as "Aunt Mila". The nickname made my heart flutter and my smile widen. It made me being apart of their family so much more real.

As the music played my stomach began to do flips and I thought that I'd inadvertently throw up but my mother consoled me and told me that this was to be the most amazing day of my life. Damn, was she more correct than ever.

The time it took for all the groomsmen and bridesmaids to walk down the aisle felt slow. Mainly because the anticipation of finally seeing Shawn and getting his first reaction to my final look seemed surreal to me.

We had no want in the world to have the regular song "here comes the bride" to play as I walked down the aisle so instead we decided on our favourite song to dance around the living room together to "Love Me Tender" was played by Elvis Presley.

As the song started to play, my fingers started to fiddle with the hems of my dress and I started to question everything about how I looked but only to hear that I looked perfect, says my mother.

She was the one who was walking me down the aisle and I had no problem with that, there was no one else I'd rather walk down the aisle with to be met with my soon to be husband than her.

Milan was an airy day today but it was perfect. It wasn't too hot and it was too cold. Originally, we were going to have an indoor wedding but instead found a rooftop overlooking Milan that seemed much more appealing.

As Camila started to stride down the aisle, elegantly, Shawn could not help the tears that fell from the brim of his eyes. She looked divine, as always. Her face was glowing and her smile was angelic, much like her.
