CONTROL
Bigla na lang nag-ring ang phone ko kaya hindi ko na nagawang makausap pa si Zin. Lumabas ako ng kotse niya at agad sinagot ang phone call.
"5 Million, huh? I thought we agreed your limit's only until 2 Million."
I bit my lower lip. I could hear the frustration in her voice. Patay... Of course, she'll hear about it. It's all over the news by now.
"I'm sorry, Ma. I just wanted to win so bad."
"You and I are going to have a conversation tomorrow. Your Dad's very upset."
Nag-pout ako. "Hindi ako magsha-shopping for months, I promise hehe."
"That won't do."
Zin patiently waited for me. Nakatayo lang siya sa tabi ko at ngumingiti sa mga fans. I gestured for him to go inside but he just shook his head.
"Sorry talaga Mama. Please tell Dad this will be the last time. Hindi ko na po uulitin."
"Talagang hindi dahil grounded ka. Your Dad told me to confiscate your credit cards and the worst? Your bank account's frozen. You won't be able to access it not until he's back."
"WHAT?" Nanlaki ang mga mata ko sa sinabi niya. "He can't do that! Legal age na po ako! At paano naman ang mga gastos ko sa school?"
"You have a driver and it's not like you have to pay for your food at school. Kasama 'yan sa tuition mo 'di ba? If you need money for your projects, tsaka lang kita bibigyan."
Sumimangot ako at hindi na nakipatalo. Oo, hindi ko kailangan ng cash or credit card pero hindi kasi ako sanay na wala akong pera. Hmmph.
"Pinagsabihan na kita, Caylee ngunit hindi ka nakinig. There are consiquences for all your actions. Just hope your Dad's in a good mood when he gets back."
"Okay po."
"Caylee, come on!" Pagkatok ni Ava sa may pintuan. Sinesenyasan niya ko na pumasok na rin ako sa loob.
"I gotta go, Mom. Sorry again."
"Alright, take care. And don't drink too much."
"Yes po. Goodnight."
I ended the phone call and gave my phone to the receptionist.
"Everything okay?" Zin asked me.
"No. I'm grounded. Hindi nagustuhan ng father ko ang ginawa ko kanina."
Natawa siya. "My Mom acted the same way last year when I bid 8 million for a bracelet."
I raised an eyebrow. Hindi niya naikwento sa amin 'yun. "Anong ginawa mo para hindi na siya magalit sa'yo?"
"I gave her the bracelet," tatawa-tawang sabi niya habang naglalakad kami papasok ng nightclub.
