CHAPTER 45
FIRST DAY
I groaned when I heard my phone vibrating at the side table. I covered my ears with my pillow but I already knew I'm awake. Hindi ko na magawang makatulog uli kaya tiningnan ko na lang kung sino ang tumatawag.
My frown turned into a shock when I saw Zin's name on the screen. I immediately answered the phone call. "Hey."
"Good morning baby, did I wake you up?"
Namula agad ang pisngi ko at napangiti ako. "Huh? Hindi. Kani-kanina pa 'ko gising. Bakit ka nga pala napatawag?" Umupo ako at kinusot ang mga mata ko.
"I was just wondering if I could fetch you up so we could eat breakfast together. I could be there in fifteen." Tiningnan ko ang orasan at nagisip. I don't want to look ugly in front of him! Kulang ang 15 minutes sa pagaayos ko! Today is the first day that we're finally together. I have to look perfect!
"Uhmm...okay lang ba kung sa school na lang tayo magkita? Let's eat breakfast at The Grove!"
"Huh? Bakit? Let's just go to our fave---"
"May tinatapos lang kasi akong homework. Please? I'll be there in 30!"
"Alright. Will you drive your own?"
"Why? May lakad ba tayo after school?"
"If you're not busy, I mean...we should spend time together."
I bit my lower lip and forced myself not to shout. Shet! Ang aga aga, kinikilig agad ako!
"Okay. Papahatid na lang ako sa driver namin."
"Great. I'll see you at school. Love you, baby."
"I love you too." In-end call ko na bago ko sinalampak ang mukha ko sa unan at nagsisisigaw.
Grabe! Iba talaga sa feeling na alam na namin ang nararamdaman ng isa't-isa. I'm not confused anymore and it's so nice to hear him call me baby.
Agad na 'kong tumayo at tumakbo sa CR. I took a nice bath and made sure to scrub my whole body. Then blow dried my hair and tied it into a ponytail. Pagkatapos ay kinulot ko ng kaunti ang dulo ng buhok ko. I applied some light makeup and made sure to use lotion and perfume.
There. I look better.
Tinawagan ko si Zin nang malapit na ako sa school. He said he's at the library, reviewing his notes. Mag-text na lang daw ako kapag nandoon na ako sa LCU upang masundo niya ako sa parking lot.
I really want to see my boyfriend already. Mula pagkabata ay magkilala na kami ni Zin ngunit ngayon lang ako na-excite ng sobra na makita siya.
It feels like we're taking too long on the road.
"Manong, are we not there yet?"
"Sorry po, Ma'am. Medyo ma-traffic."
Paano pa kami magbe-breakfast nito? Baka abutin na ako ng anong oras.
Luckily, I only wasted 20 minutes to get to school. Pagpasok sa gate ng university ay nag-message na ako kay Zin. He said he'll be there in a few. Isasauli niya lang daw ang librong hiniram niya kanina.
Bumaba na 'ko ng kotse at naglakad na papunta sa locker ko. I told Zin we should meet there since I had to get my laptop and few of my books. Habang inaayos ang gamit ko ay naramdaman ko siya sa likuran ko.
