On our way there, we sensed a familiar chakra and stopped. I turned to them. "You guys go ahead, I'll catch up". As soon as they were gone, I said, "What!" I turned around and saw Sasuke as well as three ninja.

"I want you to join us," Sasuke said.

I looked at him confused. "You want me to help you, the man that murdered my father, as well as three people that came from his hideout to get revenge on my husband? I'm going to have to pass on your offer".

I turned to walk away when he called out to me. "You said you'd do anything for me".

I stopped and turned around. "Yeah, within reason! I'm not going to betray the people I care about for you! In case you forgot, I joined the Akatsuki for a reason! The only way I join you is for the same reason, and I don't want to put you through that, Sasuke!" After a moment of silence, I remembered something. "What did you do to my father?"

"I killed him," he replied without an ounce of emotion.

"Oh, so you're Orochimaru's daughter," one of the men behind Sasuke pointed out.

I turned to him. "(Y/N) Uchiha, pleasure". Then I noticed his sword. "And judging by the Executioner's Blade on your back, you must be Suigetsu".

"That's right," he replied, shooting me a flirty smile which I took no notice of. Sasuke just rolled his eyes. It was then that Suigetsu seemed to remember his teammates. "The one staring daggers at you is Karin, and the other one is Jūgo".

I turned to Karin to see she really seemed to hate me. I could immediately tell that she was jealous of my relationship with Sasuke. "You remind me of the girls back at the academy, they used to stare at me like that as well. Let me just tell you that Sasuke and I do NOT have the type of relationship you might be thinking of. In fact, he's my brother-in-law". Sasuke just averted his gaze. It was then that I noticed her unusual red hair, and immediately recognised which clan she was from. "By the way, nice hair," I said with a sly smile. I then turned to Sasuke with an apologetic expression. "Sorry, Sasuke. You know I'd do anything for you, but asking me to help you take revenge on my husband is like asking me to rip out my own heart, I just can't do it". Shooting him one last apologetic smile, I teleported back to Itachi and Kisame.

"What did they want?" Kisame asked.

I shrugged my shoulders. "They wanted to recruit me".

"What did you say?"

I just stared at him. "No, of course!" With that, we started to make our way to the hideout.

We finally got to the hideout and the three-day-sealing began.

Once the sealing was over, I separated from Itachi and Kisame so I could run my own errand in a small town. as I was making my way over there, I noticed a bird flying overhead. "That's Uncle Jiraiya's bird," I muttered. I whistled to signal the bird to come down. The bird landed on my arm and I noticed a letter attached.

The letter read:

"The Hidden Leaf has decided to pursue Itachi in an effort to get to you and Sasuke. Be on your guard.

-Jiraiya".

'Damn it! I need to let Itachi know'. I took the letter and sent the bird away. I then transformed the letter into a snake and sent it to Itachi before making my way through the forest.

I was wandering through the forest when I came face-to-face with a certain 'Hyperactive, Knucklehead Ninja'. "Naruto..." I was frozen. I didn't expect to run into him of all people. He seemed just as shocked. I quickly narrowed my eyes and smirked. "What are you doing here?"

"Looking for you and Sasuke," he replied, still shocked.

I rolled my eyes. "Sorry, can't help you there".

I turned to walk away when he yelled, "Please, come home!"

I turned back to him and looked at him calmly. "My home is with Itachi".

He seemed angry at my comment. "How can you stay so loyal to him?! After all the pain he's caused you and Sasuke?!"

"Because I love him! And besides, Sasuke and I have an understanding". I closed my eyes and took a deep breath to calm down. Naruto opened his mouth to reply when a large, blinding light appeared in the distance. My eyes widened in worry. "Deidara..." Without sparing Naruto another moment, I raced off towards the light, concerned for my friend.

I arrived to see a majority of the forest destroyed and Deidara and Sasuke were nowhere in sight. I had just started searching for Deidara when I felt Madara's chakra to my left. I glared at him for a moment before continuing my search. "He's gone. He blew himself up".

'It's a pity he didn't take you with him'. I glared at him again. "How could you let that happen?"

It wasn't long before I found the reason he was here. I picked up the ring and threw it at him. he caught it and inspected it before disappearing. I looked down sadly. 'I guess he really is gone'.

I was interrupted from my thoughts when I sensed some familiar chakra closing in until they stopped right behind me. "What do you want?" I said, turning around to see Suigetsu and Karin.

"It's Sasuke, he's really hurt," Suigetsu answered.

I raised an eyebrow at them. "So? Why don't you heal him yourself? Surely, you must have a medical ninja on your team".

"He won't let anyone else treat him. He asked specifically for you," Karin grumpily informed me.

'Stubborn as always, huh Sasuke?' After a moment, I sighed. "Alright, lead the way".

They led me to a hotel room with Sasuke lying on the bed and Jūgo standing in the corner. Immediately, I rushed up to him and started getting everything ready. I turned towards the other three. "I'm gonna need some space". Hesitantly, they all left the room, leaving me alone with Sasuke just as he was beginning to gain consciousness.

Later, I was wrapping the bandage around his waist in silence. "Are you mad at me?"

"No," I replied, purposely making the bandage a little too tight to indicate that I was.

He groaned in pain. "I'll take that as a 'yes'".

"You're an idiot, you know that? How could you do something so reckless?! Don't you know that if you died, a part of me would die as well?"

"I'm sorry," he said quietly.

I let out a sigh and smiled at him before I continued healing him up. When I was done, I looked at him in worry. "Are you sure I can't convince you to stop trying to kill Itachi?"

"I'm sorry (Y/N), but this is something I have to do," he replied.

I pouted. "Itachi's saying the same thing". Sasuke laughed at the face I was making.
