Chapter 11
"Oo na! Namiss na kita!" she yelled. I felt myself smiling, no. Grinning is the exact word.
"What did you say?" I asked when I got to her. Yumuko siya and shook her head. "Julie, ano nga uli yung sinabi mo?" I asked.
"Ewan ko sayo. Bingi ka peste. Aalis na ko!" she said saka na niya ako tinalikuran.
"Wanna grab some coffee?" I asked. She stopped mid-track saka napalingon sa akin. I shrugged as I smiled and offered my hand to her. She looked at my hand then back at me. "I'm harmless. Come on."
"My bestfriend's waiting for me." she answered.
"Edi ipagpapaalam kita." I said as I took her hand and we both crossed the street.
We entered the convenience store and her bestfriend automatically smiled at us.
"Yes lovebirds?" she asked.
"Maqui..." Julie hissed.
"Can I take her out? I mean, magccoffee lang naman kami." I said.
"Coffee? Sure sure. You can have her all night." she winked.
"Maq!" Julie cried. "Sasama ako sayo."
"Julie wag na pavirgin. We all know that you want to. Kaya go ka na with Moses. Diba?" she said and even looked at me.
"Elmo. Just, Elmo." I said and smiled.
"Oh. Go ka na with Elmo. Dali na bes wag na pakipot." she said. "So pano? I'll go back to Anarchy na ha? Elmo, ibalik mo ng buhay yan."
"Actually, pwedeng ako na maghatid sa kanya pauwi?" I asked.
"Hoy! Sobra na yan ha? Kape lang pati pag-uwi ikaw pa?! Wag na. Maq, tara."
"Hey..." I said as I grabbed her hand. She faced me and raised an eyebrow. "Come on. Ako na maghahatid sayo. Natural lang sa nanliligaw yun diba?"
"Pumayag na ba ko?" she asked.
"Well, you admitted naman na you missed me. So parang ganun na din yun?"
"That's unfair, Elmo." she said, narrowing her eyes at me.
"Baby, love's unfair." I said. She rolled her eyes then looked at Maqui. "I'll take it from here. Thank you."
"Alright. Ingat kayo. Bye bes! I'll see you tomorrow." Maqui said as she left the store.
"So? Tara na." I said then held her hand.
"Saan ba tayo kasi?" she asked while we walked towards my car.
"Basta."
"Alam mo, kidnapping to."
"Kidnapping with consent? Hahahaha."
"Psh."
We stayed quiet as we go on our way to the coffee shop. Hindi naman malayo. I just want to have coffee with her sa mas tahimik na place.
"Saan ba talaga tayo?" she asked.
"Somewhere lang." I replied.
We arrived in Antipolo and I parked outside Starbucks.
"You wait here okay? Uhm... Anong gusto mo?" I asked.
"Ikaw na bahala." she said.
"Sige. I'll be back ha? Don't run away from me!" I told her before I went to the store.
"Welcome to Starbucks!" the barista greeted.
"Hi. Give me 2 Macchiatos and BLT sandwiches." I said.
