Chapter 57
I'm done giving her space. Ayoko na. I'm gonna talk to her and I'm gonna win her back. It's been weeks since the last time I saw her and this is more than enough already. I'm done sulking and I'm done being miserable. I want my girl back. And I want her now.
"Saan ka pupunta?" I heard Brent asked.
"Julie's" I said and left the room. I went out his condo building and drove out of it.
Now, where do I start? It's Wednesday. Maybe she's still in school. Right. Dun ko siya pupuntahan. I drove straight to St. Benedict's Academy and asked the guard if she's there.
"Kuya, andyan si Julie?"
"Si Ma'am Julie po?" tumango ako and he shook his head. "Absent po siya sir. Masama daw pakiramdam eh."
"Ganun ba?" I said. He nodded and I patted his shoulder. "Sige kuya salamat ha? Puntahan ko na lang sa kanila." I told him before I went to my car again.
Masama ang pakiramdam niya? Ano kayang sakit niya? Maybe I should buy her something. Paborito niya yung beef mami sa Mitz eh. Tama. I'll but her that. I went out of my car again and ran across the street to Mitz.
"Ate, isang beef mami nga."
"Take out?" the lady asked.
"Opo." I replied as I fished out my money. She looked at me and smiled.
"Ikaw pala yan. Hindi mo ata kasama si Ms. San Jose?"
"Ah. Masama daw pakiramdam eh." I smiled.
"Ah. Kaya ba binibilan mo ng pagkain?" she asked and even smiled sheepishly at me.
"Hahaha. Opo. Para gumaling na tsaka para mapatawad na ko." I winked.
"Ay sus! Di ka matitiis nun! Hala sige na. Baka lumamig yung sabaw magsebo pa yan."
"Sige po. Salamat." I said and paid her.
I drove to their compound and was kind of feeling good when I saw that their house was closed. I looked at it curiously then went to Manang Debbie's store where I found Kuya Boyet and Kuya Jerry, talking over coffee.
"Oh. Ikaw pala compañero." Kuya Jerry greeted.
"Uhm... Sarado yung bahay nila Julie. Wala sila kuya?" I asked. They looked at each other and bowed their heads. "Bakit?"
"Eh kasi... Umalis na sila diyan. Nung isang araw pa." Kuya Boyet replied as he scratches his neck.
"Lumipat? Saan?"
"Dun sa papa nilang magkapatid."
"Uhm... Alam niyo ba kung saan yun?" I asked, feeling lost. The two of them shook their head. I heaved a deep sigh and nodded sadly at them. "G-ganun ba? S-sige. Uhm... Sa inyo na tong mami. Ang sabi kasi saken nung guard may sakit daw si Julie so binilan ko siya. Turns out di na pala siya dito nakatira."
I left their old place and drove back to kuya's pad. I found him sitting on the kitchen counter as he reads what seems to be paperworks for his autoshop.
"Hey little bro. San ka galing?" he asked.
"Julie's." I replied.
"Eh bakit parang nalugi ka?"
"She's not there." I said as I sit across from him. "Lumipat na ng bahay."
"Ouch. You didn't ask for her new address?" he asked I shook my head and went to get a glass of water. "Bakit di mo tinanong?"
"Well, hindi din kasi nila alam kung saan sila lumipat." I said. He nodded slowly and went back to reading his stuff. "Ano yan?"
"Some paperworks. I'm trying to see how my sales are."
