It was clear for Bucky to see and he noticed before Natasha did. The morning slept in even though you always looked tired, the lack of concentration, the slight slump in your posture, and how short you were with everyone.
"Yeh I'm just gonna go to my room" You announced after breakfast as you stood up.
"Y/n you okay" Natasha questioned as you put your plate in the dishwasher and got ready to leave.
"Yeh I'm fine" You replied with a forced smile and left the kitchen.
"Excuse me" Bucky said as he stood from the table and went to follow you.
After closing your door you leaned on it and sighed softly. A knock startled you. Your turned to face the door and took a deep breath. With another forced smile you opened the door. Before you stood a concerned looking Bucky.
"Hey Bucky what's up" You questioned.
"Are you okay" He asked.
"Yeh I'm fine" You assured. He sighed and looked you in your eyes.
"Tell me the truth" He encouraged.
"I am I'm fi-"You tried to explain.
"You stay in your room all the time and say you're sleeping but you always look tired, you always have this hollow look in your eyes, you lose your concentration fast as hell, your body language is always scared and jumpy, you always give one and two word replies on a good day you may say a whole sentence, and some days you live in the kitchen while others you avoid it like it'll kill you" He listed off as he softly put his hands on your shoulders.
"Y/n the truth" he encouraged again. And the floodgates opened as you hugged him.
