You Should Be (Bucky X Male Reader)

Y/n turned expecting to feel the warmth of Bucky's chest, but all he got was more bed he sighed and reached around and felt nothing. With a sigh he got out of the bed and searched around. His search led to the living in the low light he could see a dark figure slouched over on the couch.

"You should be in bed" Bucky whispered but stayed in his sitting slouch position. Y/n walked around the couch now gazing down softly at his obviously upset boyfriend.

"I could say the same to you" the tired man whispered back as he sat on the couch.

"What's wrong babe" said as his metal armed boyfriend still refusing to look at him.

"Why are you up" he replied back ignoring the question completely.

"It's kinda hard for me to sleep without my pillow" Y/n said with a smile, that left quickly turned into a frown when he realized Bucky was still not looking at him.

"I'm sorry doll" he said quietly.

"Come on Bucky tell me what's wrong, I can't help if you don't tell me" he pleaded worry now taking over him. Bucky finally turned to look at him. His eyes where bloodshot red and dry tears outlined his cheeks.

"Why are you with me I've killed and hurt so many people I've done unforgivable things, all I do is cause pain" he said to him lightly shaking. Y/n grabbed his hands and rubbed soothing circles into the non metal one.

"That wasn't you they took control of you and forced you to, Bucky I know if you had the choice you wouldn't have hurt anyone" Y/n said scooting closer to him and resting his head on the man's shoulder. Bucky started to shake at the contact.

"I'm a monster, I don't trust myself around you if I ever hurt you I wouldn't be able to live with myself" Bucky replied still lightly shaking as his arm reached behind the tired males back and his hand hovered over his hip not completely resting on it.

"Bucky I'm not afraid of you I know you would never do anything to hurt me" said as he raised his head to look in Bucky's eyes. The gaze calmed the soldier down a lot.

"You should be though, I'm so scared of myself" he finally revealed and Y/n could see the low light bounce off his newly forming tears. He sat up and hugged Bucky, who slid into his chest and broke down. He cried so much that he cried himself to sleep.
