.THE OUTBREAK SWAY HOUSE PT.2.

Josh's P.O.V
I held my breath as Griffin swung the door open. We waited a few seconds just staring into the darkness in silence.

"I think it's clear." Griffin whispered, but before we could take any steps forward a shriek erupted from somewhere in the darkness and a body came hurtling towards the door. Griffin tried to slam the door shut but ended up trapping the thing between the door and the doorframe, it's head and one arm inside, shrieking and trying to grab us. It was like the pain from being crushed in the door didn't phase it. It's face was all mangled and disgusting, I almost wanted to be sick looking at it.

"HELP ME WITH THE DOOR!" Griffin shouted at me and only then I realised that griffin was struggling to keep the door closed and in a few seconds it would probably break through. Noah and I quickly rushed to his side, putting all our weight against the door, the thing shrieked again and tried to scratch at griffin who was closest to it.

"Don't let it scratch you!" Kio shouted.

"Oh Thanks Kio, i was planning on getting my arm ripped up today but-"

"Not the time for sarcasm Griffin!" I yelled at him. Even with the three of us against the door we were struggling to hold it shut.

"We have to kill it!" Noah moved back from the door and then tried to ram into the door with his shoulder.

"That's not gonna work, you'll just break the door and then we'll have a lot more than one of them to deal with!"

"Well have you got any better ideas Kio?!" Noah yelled, hitting the door again. He moved back again but before he could hit the door again Anthony came out of nowhere and stabbed the thing between its eyes with a kitchen knife. It shrieked again and then went limp, Anthony kicked it outside and Noah griffin and I collapsed against the door successfully closing it.

"What. The fuck. Was that." Griffin said between breaths.

"Anthony?" I said and he looked up at me his eyes wide. "I think you just saved all our lives." I said and kissed him.

"I don't really know what came over me to be honest it was sort of just a heat of the moment type thing I guess." He laughed, scratching the back of his head.

"I don't care what it was it worked and that's all that matters." Noah ran his shaking hands through his hair and only then I realised I was shaking slightly too, we were all shaking, the realisation that we could have just died sinking in.

"Zombies." Kio said quietly almost to himself.

"What?."

"Zombies." He repeated a little louder. "That's what they are, from movies and video games and stuff." We all stared at him.

"You know the things that eat your brain."

"Yeah I know what they are I guess I never thought... they could become a reality." I said.

"Look I know that was scary and all but we still have to go to the hype house because our friends are probably in danger, they probably don't even know because the zombies won't be heard over the music." Noah said getting up of the floor.

"Oh shit yeah." I said. I had completely forgotten that all the people at the party probably haven't seen the news or heard anything so the zombies could be right on top of them and they wouldn't know until it was too late.

"We'll go through the garage and be much quieter this time." Griffin said and we all nodded. I pulled Anthony off the floor and our hands stayed linked together as we crept along behind Kio and Griffin, Noah behind us.

We made it to the garage and opened the door, wincing at every little noise we made. Luckily Griffin had decided to park his car inside the garage rather than on the street last night.
