Kio's P.O.V
There's something I've been thinking about for a while now. I've discussed it with Quinton and he agrees with me, he also added more to my thoughts that make sense too. He's a smart kid and I'm sure it'll really help us one day.

I've not said anything to anyone else about what I've been thinking, not even Griffin. I told Quinton not to tell anyone either, he was confused at first as to why but he agreed anyway.

We went a whole year without seeing a single living breathing person and yet suddenly our supposedly dead friends show up and a bunch of random other guys. It's got me wondering if there's anyone else out there. If anyone else survived the outbreak.

Could it have been only California that was contaminated, or has the rest of the world gone to shit too. Just thinking about it all has given me this spark of hope that maybe, just maybe, we're not alone out here.

When I voiced my thoughts to Quinton I hadn't thought about the fact that the zombies probably couldn't swim and unless they somehow managed to infect a plane full of people then it could just be Northern America, and possibly South America too, that's infected. Quinton explained it all to me and it made so much sense to me now that there's a high chance we probably aren't the only other non-infected people out here.

Why I hadn't thought of it sooner, I don't know, but what I do know is if I say any of this to anyone else they will either doubt me or get a potentially false sense of hope and I didn't want either of those things.

Quinton and I decided we had to get some form of proof before we told them anything so we had to make a plan.

There's an old radio tower on a rather large hill in the East side of the City. It used to be used to gather all the data and news from the rest of America, but ever since the outbreak it obviously hasn't been in use for a long time.

Somehow Quinton and I have to convince the others to come with us without telling them what we are trying to do because if there's zombies in the tower we'll probably get eaten alive as neither of us are decent at fighting them.

"How are we going to do this?" I asked Quinton for the fourth time in the past 20 minutes.

"I don't know Kio." He replied.

"And even if we do get them to come, what if the radio tower doesn't even work? Or what if they figure out what we're doing and stop us before we get there because they don't believe it'll work?" I rambled on about all the possible outcomes of our not very well put together plan.

Quinton sighed and put his face in his hands. "Why does this have to be so hard." He groaned.

"At this point I don't even care if only one person goes with us and I don't care who either we just need one of them." I said sitting back. We sat thinking to ourselves for a few minutes before we heard shouting.

"It's just a car!" Suddenly Jaden came striding into the room Quinton and I were sat in. Josh and Anthony were right behind him but stopped when Jaden whirled round and glared at them both.

"Well that 'car' has done more for me than you two have in the past year!" He yelled.

"Seriously?! You're saying that a piece of metal has done more for you than your two boyfriends, who by the way, didn't know you were even alive!" Josh snapped. Quinton and I shared a look and then watched quietly as they continued arguing. I don't think they even realised we were there.
