Chapter 18
I cover the towel around my torso before stepping out of the bathroom. I walked straight to my closet and search for good clothes to wear. I picked out some checkered shirt and some ripped jeans that will match. I placed all my things I only need inside the belt bag that I bought yesterday. I checked the time on my phone as soon as I finished everything. It's already quarter to six and now I have to get my ass off here.
"Traydor! Saan ka pupunta?" Lashi bragged right after he saw me walking around the living room.
"May lakad malamang,"
He fired me some pillows and soda cans. "Day off natin! Akala ko ba gagala tayo?"
"Hindi ka ba nagsasawa na magkasama tayo halos araw araw?" sagot ko at pinulot ang isang soda can na nasa paanan ko saka ko binato pabalik sa kaniya. "Ako kasi sawa na 'ko sa mukha mo!"
He hugged the pillow he was holding and pouted like a stupid kid.
Nagpunta ako sa kusina para uminom ng tubig at hanggang dito ay sinundan pa rin ako ng maingay na dagang 'to. This guy reached his maturity physically but not mentally. Patuloy siya sa pagaralgal niya na parang batang ayaw maiwan dito.
"My father wants me to come for a dinner okay? I'll catch up if I can."
Binilin ko na rin sa kaniya na sabihan ang iba at si Manager Kops kung sakaling hanapin ako mamaya. Pagkatapos kunin ang susi ng sasakyan ko na madalas ko lang nagagamit ay bumaba na agad ako at humarurot.
It took half of an hour before I arrived at our house because of the traffic. I don't have any idea why would my father asked me to come here. My sister texted me earlier this morning about this dinner he wants to have. Pinagbuksan agad ako ng guards sa may gate at sinalubong ilang maids ng makababa ako sa sasakyan.
"Good evening Sir. Nasa dining na po silang lahat."
I nod at my father's butler who accompany me as if I don't know where the dining is. Nang dumating ako sa lugar ay napansin ko agad ang ngiti ng kapatid kong kumakaway sa'kin ng makita ako. She stood from her seat and ran to me jumping with hugs.
This little girl's sweetness to me never get olds even if she's already in her legal age. I thought she will be like those younger sisters out there. Acting cold and though to their older brother.
"I missed you!"
Binigay ko sa kaniya ang isang boquet ng paboritong niyang bulaklak. Dumaan ako kanina sa isang flower shop para may maibigay ako sa kaniya. She loves flowers more than anything.
"Miss you more, pumpkin." I said pinching her nose.
I walked to my mother sitting down there watching us. She flashed a small yet beautiful smile at me. I hugged her from the back and gave kisses on her both cheeks. I felt her warm hands in my pale skin as she touches my face. I whispered I miss you to her and she replied me with I love you.
"Evening Dad," bati ko sa kaniya na nakaupo sa harap at seryosong nakatingin sa'kin.
"Maupo ka na at kumain."
Umupo ako sa kabilang upuan katabi ni Justine na ngayon ay hindi mapawi ang ngiti sa labi niya. I know she's happy seeing her family in one table, complete. I started eating silently while listening to my sister blabbering about her plans this coming summer since school days are over. She says she wants to have some fresh experiences like going to some places and others.
"She can go anywhere right?" I flipped my eyes to my father.
"Yes with her body guards." he replied blankly.
