CHAPTER 9
I bit my lower lip while we're standing infront of my dad's house. Kuya put his arms around my shoulder before we took a step forward.
I smiled. "Happy birthday, Tita."
She smiled and pulled us inside the house.
"Hi, Abreu," Kuya Lauren welcomed me. I just smiled at him as I grip on Kuya's arms. Kuya laughed before he greeted our other brothers. "Tara, kumain na tayo."
They are not really our real brothers.
I took a deep breath as we walk towards the dinning room.
"Aldrin," I heard our father said behind us.
"Pa," masayang ani Kuya bago harapin si Papa at yakapin.
My father looked at me. I smiled and he did the same thing before he nuzzled my hair.
"Try this, Ab! Kuya Liam, he's probably the 'cook' sa mag kakapatid.
"How's school, Aldrin?" My father asked, and my Kuya answered him. Well hindi niya sinasali 'yung mga kwento about sa pakikipag away niya, puro lang about sa mga achievements niya.
Nakangiting tumango si Papa. "That's nice. Anong pre-med ang kukunin mo? Graduating ka na."
Yeah, right.
Mama always wanted us to be a doctor. She was supposed to be a doctor... At mas lalong hindi natuloy dahil sumundo ako after three years. No wonder why their close to each other.
My Father didn't object about our Mother's dream for us. But in the end... He still left her with two kids to feed.
I don't get them.
"I don't know," Kuya said while eating. "Maybe it's up to Mama too. You know... Mother know's best."
He was not being sarcastic.
Kuya...
When he knew that I was longing for a love from our father, nagpakatatay siya...
