Mixed Situations

David picked up his phone to Maia’s phone call. She was still panicking from what happened with Liam. She needed help with what to do and say to her family.

“Maia, I really don’t want you to keep this inside,” David said.

“It just feels so wrong, I can’t stop thinking about it. David he almost raped me,” Maia said.

“Please just talk to your family, they can offer support,” David said.

Maia got texts from Josh all day but she hasn’t been replying. So after she hung up the phone a few minutes later, the doorbell rang.

She ran down the stairs and saw David, Jill and Josh at the door. She decided to go outside with them, it was so un expected.

“What are you guys doing here?” Maia asked as she walked outside with them.

“We want to be here with you Maia,” Jill said.

Josh gave Maia a hug, knowing what happened really upset him for her.

“Thank you guys, it means a lot how you guys are such great friends for me. But you could have at least given me a notice,” Maia chuckled.

“You can talk about anything you want, it’s all about you Mai,” Josh said.

“Were here for you, always,” David said.

Maia just didn’t speak much. She didn’t know what to say, but she was happy to be there with them.

David and Jill went ahead as Maia explained to Josh the story.

“Liam, he took me and wanted to hang out with me so I left Jill and David for him and he took me behind the pizza place and just started touching me and made me touch him. Soon after David and Jill came and he broke it off,” Maia explained.

“Oh baby, he’s a jerk. That makes me so angry. I’m sorry this happened, I’m so ready to beat this guy up,” Josh said.

“Just leave it, I don’t need it any worse,” Maia said.

David and Jill turned around to walk backwards as Josh and Maia were walking frontwards, Josh planted a kiss on Maia’s cheek as she blushed. David saw and it bugged him. He decided to give Jill a kiss on the cheek.

“I have to be home soon, I’m so sorry,” Jill said, as it was a school night.

“We can walk you,” Maia and David offered.

They were heading towards Jill’s house that was a further distance but she needed something to take her mind off it. They were all laughing and huddled.

Maia started pushing Josh and David as they were side by side. They pushed her back and she tried again harder. She brushed herself against the both of them then started laughing.
