"He's My Best Friend."

Date Night

Maia was thinking about the person attacking her phone. They had stopped after the night of but it still bothered her that she didn’t know who it was.

 Maia was getting ready for her date with Josh that was happening later on. She chose out a cute but casual outfit of leggings and a black and white flannel. She left her hair with natural curls falling and then applied her eye makeup.

 “Hey beauty, can’t wait for our date tonight. Meet at the movie’s for six and remember it starts at six thirty,” Josh texted Maia to remind her.

 “Hey and I didn’t forget, don’t worry I’ll see you there,” Maia replied to him.

 She was trying to get her mind off of the person on her phone and about David and Liam after the other day at school.

 Maia finished getting ready and still had about twenty minutes longer till she had to head out the door. So she took a seat on her couch and saw that she was getting more text messages that happened to be just blank spaces for her to see and reply.

 Maia decided to leave earlier because she couldn’t stand being alone and the phone being bothered by her, at least with Josh it will keep her mind off it and she will feel safe.

 Maia took the public bus to the theatre that wasn’t a long ride and on the way she was looking out the window and spotted Josh who was walking on the sidewalk.

 “I’m almost there, can’t wait for this magical night with you,” Josh texted Maia.

 “Me too,” Maia replied.

 She walked into the theatre and spotted Josh looking down at his phone probably looking at the message she had sent him.

 Josh looked up at Maia as she entered the theatre and headed his way. He thought she looked beautiful with her natural curls falling in her face and with her outfit that fitted ever so perfectly.

 Maia was looking at Josh and how perfect he was looking. He had a nice smile on, showing dimples and with a really large but nice jacket.

 “Hey,” Maia said.

“Hey, I say we go get our tickets and sit in the theatre room although we have lots of time,’ Josh said.

 They walked over to the ticket booth to buy their ticket. They went to see Mocking Jay part one. Josh let Maia go first and then he followed her to the theatre room.

 He opened his arms for her to go into the row first and choose a seat. Maia sat down as Josh sat down beside her; they were at the very back seats.“Maia, I’m glad were doing this. It’s great to spend time alone,” Josh said.

 Me too,” Maia said.

 They watched the screen and the people entering the theatre. It wasn’t busy yet because it was still early.

 “I hope the movie is as good as the book,” Maia said quietly.

 “The books are so good, but the movies have been too so I’d think so,” Josh replied.

 Maia pulled out her phone to see yet another message from the person which was another blank screen. She quickly looked and put it away leaving it on silent.

 Time went by and the lights were dimming darker.

Josh looked at Maia and Maia noticed his head turned her direction so she turned to him. He smiled and put his arm around her shoulder. As he did that, Maia’s smile grew larger.
