Author's POV
The five days passed sooner than expected and it was time of Arjun and Subhadra's arrival. Panchali was still a little hurt but much better than before. She wanted to know the reason why Arjun married Subhadra in such a haste? He was near Indraprasth when he left for Dwaraka. Didn't he felt the need to just give her a message? Many questions in her minds were making her crazy but with her family's support, she felt better. Also, she had to take care of her baby. So for that, she distracted herself.
Devika adjusted well here in Indraprasth. She found a best friend in Draupadi. Also, now when her mind was clear, she also found Aahana a very jubilant and carefree. They both also shared a wonderful relation. Her father left for Sivi already but left Devika in Indraprasth on Draupadi's request.
Aahana and Draupadi prepared for Subhadra's arrival as Devika helped them.
"Rajkumari Draupadi, Rajkumar Arjun has arrived on the gates of the palace with his wife." A dasi informed.
"You go, we are coming." Draupadi said.
"Draupadi, I'll only be able to welcome Subhadra if you are ready to welcome her." Aahana said.
"Of course jiji. I have no issues at all." Draupadi said as the ladies reached the gates of Indraprasth palace where the newly wedded couple stood.
Though Kuru Vansh did not accept Karna as their eldest son but the Pandavas accepted him as their eldest brother making Draupadi elder to Aahana. So Draupadi came forward for the rituals to welcome Subhadra.
"Welcome to the family Subhadra. I'm delighted that you are now a part of our family." Draupadi said after the arti. Subhadra visibly relaxed as the fire born princess accepted her with open arms.
The whole time, Draupadi did not look at Arjun. Though she had no issues with Subhadra, she needed answers from Arjun and she deserved them.
"Aahana." Subhadra said as she hugged her sister.
"Welcome to the family jiji." Aahana said.
"Subhadrae." They heard Shri Krishna as he approached his sisters.
"Bhratashree." Subhadra said and Shri Krishna pulled her into a brotherly embrace.
"Why were you not in Dwaraka Bhratashree? I was so worried." Subhadra voiced out her fears."I was stuck here Subhadra." He said.
"Ya of course. Stuck in scaring me." Aahana taunted.
"Aahana!" Shri Krishna said.
"Bhaiya!" She said in the same tone as everyone laughed.
"By the way Subhadra, now we have an issue. You are elder to Aahana but you married Arjun. So according to your relation, she is elder to you. What to do?" Shri Krishna said as he pretended to think. Subhadra looked down in fear of getting caught.
