TTS: 6 Months

It has been a week since the plans were made known to Ye Jin. She had sadly handed in her resignation and her colleagues and patients had thrown her a farewell party.

Not a single soul wasn't surprised when they found out she was leaving, and a majority couldn't wrap their heads around Ye Jin's sudden resignation. Who could blame them? Ye Jin had no reason to. Even she hasn't wrapped her head around the fact that she wouldn't be seeing the familiar walls of the hospital for the next 6 months. She will most definitely miss the faces of her beloved colleagues and patients.

Unfortunately, she also agreed to not disclose what she was really up to and could only offer her colleagues some lame excuse of needing some time away from work to re-centre her life.

Most of her colleagues assumed Ye Jin wanted to settle down and had teased her about it. Of course, that couldn't be farther from the truth. Ye Jin loves her life now. She loves the simplicity of it. She didn't care much about indulging herself and she certainly wasn't looking to settle down either.

Now, Ye Jin was standing in front of a huge mansion, her duffle bag swung over her shoulder as she tried to figure out what she should do.

The Han's Mansion in its' colossal glory, stood proudly behind the shiny, golden gates. The white, monumental imitation of the classic Victorian buildings was almost blinding to Ye Jin's eyes under the sunlight. The mansion occupied at least 40 acres of land with its' enormous swimming pools shining glossily in the distance, rippling occasionally when the breeze would blow. Beyond that, the evenly mowed lawns were devastated by white marble sculptures and meticulously trimmed topiaries.

In a dilemma, Ye Jin pursed her lips as she looked around. Should she press the intercom button or should she give her eomeoni a call? She did call her here today so she should be expecting her.

Deciding to try her luck, she pressed the intercom button and soon, the gates opened to admit her. A butler invited her in and showed her to the common room where her eomeoni was waiting for her. Ye Jin felt incredibly underdressed in her white shirt and faded jeans and the whole setting felt extremely unfamiliar to her.

True to its exterior, the interior of the Han's Mansion lived up to its' unbridled glory. Swathed with golden and red velvet silk and lit up by the extravagant golden chandeliers, Ye Jin wondered how its inhabitants slept at night. Surely all this show of gold and jewels would make such a task difficult. No matter where she turned, she could catch a glimpse of a diamond or a form of gold décor that defined the Han's Mansion.
