Chapter 19 Blameless

"We can finally leave today. The project has been approved. You did good." Hyun Bin broke the news to Jinnie with a relaxed smile on his face.

"Omo, that's great news! Congratulations Bin!" Ye Jin cheered enthusiastically.

Ye Jin has been waiting for Hyun Bin to get out of his meeting with the investors since this morning. Now that the project has been approved, her heart settled, knowing all their hard work paid off.

Hyun Bin never had any doubts about their proposal and was simply relieved that they could finally leave the office tonight. The past few weeks have been hectic. Jinnie and he practically lived in the office because of the busyness. It was a good thing Jinnie decided to jump on board the project or he doubts they would have been able to finish on time.

Despite how hectic the past few weeks were, Hyun Bin found that he enjoyed working with his wife.

Ye Jin was also surprised that she enjoyed working in a business environment and found herself enjoying the freedom to brainstorm and work with others. In less than a span of a week, Ye Jin discovered her affinity towards business planning and found that she didn't hate the idea of business anymore.

Hyun Bin himself was pleasantly surprised and proud of his wife's achievements and her contributions made everything ten times easier for him.

Working together also meant that the couple shared some fond memories together. Ye Jin and Hyun Bin both smiled as they thought back to some of those memories.

Memory 1 – Dance Off

Ye Jin decided she would stay with Bin at VAST for the time being to take care of his health. Initially, she planned to leave when he got better but she found that a part of her still worried about him even after he recovered. She couldn't bear to leave his side.

She reasoned that if he didn't have anyone beside him to remind him to eat and sleep, he could very well fall ill again. Since that was the last thing she wanted, she had convinced Bin to let her stay at VAST with him.

Day one with Jinnie was rather interesting, to say the least. Most of the time, Jinnie would be reading her book quietly in the corner while Hyun Bin worked. Apart from getting up to pour him some water, Jinnie kept to her side, probably because she didn't want to bother him.

However, Hyun Bin couldn't help but occasionally stare at her in between work, admiring his wife's beauty from far. Ye Jin was too engrossed in her book to notice the stares but that doesn't mean he wasn't doing it. The man has an uncanny ability to stare at her for minutes without blinking.

Shortly before lunch, it was with great confusion that Hyun Bin watched Jinnie stand as she scrolled through her phone before the music started playing. With an impish grin on her face, Ye Jin dragged Bin up from his seat and to the center of the room where they were free to roam around.

"Break time!" Ye Jin started dancing to the beat of the music. Granted Ye Jin was no dancer and she knew she looked ridiculous. Her dance moves were unconventional, and some may say, embarrassing but she would do anything to get Bin moving.

"Come on Bin, you can do better than that!" Ye Jin teased as she started doing the Egyptian dance.

At this point, Hyun Bin's eyes were light with amusement as he watched Jinnie attempt to dance. She looks absolutely adorable dancing to the music, and he couldn't help but let out the laughter that threatened to escape his lips when she started to do the Egyptian dance.
