After the events of Christmas night, Ye Jin was back to her usual cheery self and Hyun Bin stopped walking around eggshells around her after he was sure she would be okay. Regardless, he still took the opportunity to remind her that he loves her every single day and Ye Jin felt extremely loved because of that.

The couple has continued to live in their bliss and tried to spend as much time as they could together, but Hyun Bin has been getting a little busy preparing for the masquerade ball. The masquerade ball was a ball that VAST Entertainment usually holds in late January to celebrate the success of the previous years as well as a well-wishing for the new year ahead.

Hyun Bin was back to work today, having spent the whole day with her yesterday as they celebrated the new year together. It was a bittersweet day for Ye Jin, knowing it will be the first and last new year's she will ever celebrate with Bin. Regardless, she chose to ignore the impending switch and showered Bin with all her love.

Everything was going well until lunch. Mdm Ji Hyun had prepared some roasted chicken since it was one of Ye Jin's favourite dishes. Ye Jin excitedly sat down, ready to dig in. Taking a bite of the chicken, Ye Jin chewed happily before she tasted something odd. Was the chicken a little undercooked?

Lifting the skin off, Ye Jin checked the chicken to see it completely cooked. Mdm Ji Hyun wouldn't make mistakes like that. However, after chewing for a bit, Ye Jin was sure that there was something odd about the chicken. It was then she felt her stomach tighten as she gagged. Ye Jin immediately got up from the table and ran to the nearest bathroom, slamming open the door to get to the toilet bowl.

She almost didn't make it as she started retching over the toilet bowl, the contents of her breakfast emptied out in front of her. Ye Jin stayed hunched over the toilet bowl as she continued vomiting as she wondered if she ate something bad that morning. When she was done, Ye Jin shakily got up to rinse her mouth, grimacing at the acidic taste in her mouth.

"Was it the chicken?" She wondered to herself as she walked back to the dining room. Though the walk back was only a short distance, Ye Jin quickly realised that the room seems to be spinning in front of her. Shaking her head, Ye Jin tried to force her eyes to focus as she tried to walk straight. When the room continued to spin, Ye Jin quickly tried to grab onto something sturdy to help her orientate herself. Without any warning, Ye Jin had collapsed into a heap on the floor, her eyes rolling back as she fell into unconsciousness.

Mdm Ji Hyun was in the kitchen when she heard a faint thud. Confused, she walked out of the kitchen to check on the situation, only to find the dining room empty. The food was untouched so Jinnie ssi couldn't have finished her lunch yet. Walking out of the dining room, Mdm Ji Hyun looked around to find her and gasped when she saw her on the floor.

"Jinnie ssi!" Mdm Ji Hyun gasped as she knelt next to her. The girl was out cold and no matter how much she tried to wake her, she remained unresponsive. Reaching out for the house phone, Mdm Ji Hyun quickly called the family doctor, knowing it will be faster than bringing her to the hospital. After the call, Mdm Ji Hyun quickly got one of the servants to carry her up to the bedroom as she made another call.

Hyun Bin was in a meeting when Secretary Kang interrupted them. "Joesonghamnida. Sir, there is an emergency at the family house." Secretary Kang said worriedly. Hyun Bin's eyes widened as he excused himself and quickly took his phone from Secretary Kang.

"Mr Hyun, Mrs Han has fainted. I've called the family doctor, but I thought you should be informed." Mdm Ji Hyun said. Judging from her voice, she was extremely distraught over the incident and Hyun Bin felt his blood run cold at the news.
