Knock knock. Ye Jin slowly stirred when she was woken by the rapping on the bedroom door. Her body felt unbelievably heavy and she grimaced at the aftertaste of alcohol in her mouth.
Ye Jin let out a soft moan when she sat up, her head throbbing with the pain from her hangover. The light from the windows caused Ye Jin to shield her eyes using her hands as she squinted at her surroundings.
What happened last night? How did she get back here? Did anything happen? Ye Jin couldn't remember much from after the talk with her eomeoni and she knew she drank too much the previous night.
Knock knock. This time, Ye Jin finally registered the knock coming from the door and quickly called out, still wincing from the headache.
"Come in!" Ye Jin said and the door opened to reveal Mdm Ji Hyun.
"Mdm Ji Hyun. What brings you here?" Ye Jin greeted her tiredly, still trying to wake her body up.
"Morning Ji Wan ssi. Mr Hyun has requested me to bring some hangover soup to you. He said you'll need it." Mdm Ji Hyun informed her.

Normally, Ye Jin would have been surprised by his attentiveness but with her head throbbing, Ye Jin simply needed to drink the soup desperately. Mdm Ji Hyun placed the soup in front of Ye Jin and watched as she drank it.
When Ye Jin was done, she felt a million times better and the throbbing in her head has dulled to an ache which Ye Jin could tolerate. At least she didn't feel like a walking zombie anymore.
"Ji Wan ssi. Mr Hyun says he'll see you at breakfast. I'll take my leave now." Mdm Ji Hyun bowed down politely before she left.
Ye Jin cocked her head to the side curiously at the statement. Hyun Bin ssi wants to eat breakfast with her? He's not avoiding her anymore? Why?
Pursing her lips, Ye Jin gave up on trying to find an answer and decided to get ready for the day.
Putting on a simple dress, Ye Jin made her way down to the dining room to see Hyun Bin hunched over a pile of documents on the table. He was in his usual work attire and his hair was tousled from running his fingers through his hair while he worked. From the looks of it, Hyun Bin has clearly been waiting for her and the gesture warmed Ye Jin's heart instantly.
"Hyun Bin ssi, jal jumusyeosseoyo? (did you sleep well)" Ye Jin greeted, her smile lighting up the room as she sat down opposite of Hyun Bin.
At her greeting, Hyun Bin looked up coolly, silently admiring his wife's elegance as she sat down.
"Ne, jal jumusyeosseoyo?" Hyun Bin returned the greeting and Ye Jin replied affirmatively.
Secretary Kang removed the pile of papers on the dining table and stood silently at the side, observing the couple as they ate.
