Promise (Zuko)

"Please come with me." Zuko asked me, his eye was bandaged up from his agni kai with Fire Lord Ozai.

"Of course I will. I'll do anything for you."

"Promise?"

"I promise."

That was 3 years ago. Now instead of catching the avatar, we were in Ba Sing Se. Working with Iroh at a tea shop.

"Hi I'm Y/n, what can I get you guys for today?" I asked the couple.

"I'll take the Jasmin Tea, how about you?" The woman asked her girlfriend.

"I'll take what she's having." The woman smiled at me. I nod my head and walked to the back, giving Iroh the order.

When I walked out I accidentally bumped into Zuko. "Ah sorry. It's been a long day."

"It's okay. I just want to go home." He said.

"Me too."

I wanted to hug Zuko so badly, I wanted to go on a date with him. But ever since he got banished we haven't been doing couple things, and it sucks. To be honest I'm afraid he's going to break up with me.

"Y/n here's their order." Iroh said, giving me the two tea's.

"Thank you." I walked back to the table and gave the couple their tea. "Enjoy."

I turned around and saw my boss, looking at me. "Is there something wrong?" I asked.

"I'll let you and Zuko go, we can take it from here." He said to me.

"Thank you. I appreciate it."

Zuko and I walked out of the place. Not knowing where to go.

"So is there anything you want to do?" I asked him.

"Just go home." He said.

I sighed and took his hand, he didn't pull away from me, so that's a good sign.

We arrived at our apartment, Zuko went to his room. I followed him in there and laid down on the bed, Zuko sat on the edge of it.

"I know I've been distant lately, and I'm so sorry about that." Zuko started, "But I promise by the end of this month we can be together, officially."

I sat up, "Officially? I thought we were already dating." I frowned.

He turned around to face me. "I meant married."

A gasped escaped my mouth. "Married? How?"

"Just go to the court, no ceremony, no ring, just some official papers."

"Oh.." I looked down.

"What's wrong?"

"Well I was just expecting our marriage to be more big I guess, and not so hidden."

"It's only for now. In the future when everything is right, then we can have that ceremony thing." He softly smiled, which is rare.

I pulled him into a tight hug. "I love you."

"I love you too."

Weeks went by, tomorrow was the day where Zuko and I are officially married.

Today was different that the others though. Iroh got his new tea shop, and Zuko and I were working there. Tons of new and old costumers came in, wanting more of Iroh's tea.

Later on that night, Zuko and I were laying in his bed. I rested my head on his chest, hearing his little heartbeat. "I'm happy for tomorrow." I said.
